Looking for a spectacular taco restaurant with outstanding Wasatch mountain views, window views, and snow peaks ?
Swing by Taqueria 27 (Fashion Place Mall) in Murray, Utah. The restaurant is on 6100 South & State Street; head straight, turn right behind Macy's backside of the bldg at the mall. Go a little ways in the parking lot. The taco restaurant is on the right side.
Their operation hours are not the same 5-6 days a week. Be sure to look up their hours prior to dining.
The menu is not complex. You can order many entrees of your choices and fairly good selections. They've a cocktail menu to check out.
Chips and guacamole were okay. The chips are thick textures. The guac is freshly made with a bit of tomato chunks, delicious. I was hoping the chips were thinner/ served warm like in some restaurants....that would have added an extra zest and out of the orbit dining chip-guac experience.
The tortilla chips were served room temperature as if it was taken out from an open fresh bag. Still, it was fresh.
Our server guy earned his star badge and more. He was friendly, nice, suggestive of soup, and special dishes/desserts for the day. He was attentative-likeable-polite. He represented Taqueria 27 well.
I went with two grilled salmon soft tacos, it had lime slices on the plate, I squeezed lime juice onto my tacos. It was still a bit fishy that I could easily detect. I've had grilled salmon in other places and high end restaurants, the results weren't fishy. Nevertheless, it had a good flavor. My guests had Angus Carne soft tacos and Asada Queso Fundido. They were pleased with their dishes.
If I remember correctly, Taqueria 27 offers soft tortilla flour tacos and not the crunchy texture taco shells because my guests asked if they serve the crispy taco shells. I like both, it didn't matter to me.
Hibiscus iced tea were my guests choices. She said it was good.
The service was prompted. It wasn't busy at 1:15pm.
All in all, it wasn't my first visit to Taqueria 27 Fashion Place Mall. Good amber warm soft lighting. Loved the paper origami elk-deer displays anchored above overhead when you walk in by the front desk.
The facility, tables, chairs, and booths, including the floors were clean and spotless. A good impression
We enjoyed our time at the taco restaurant. For out of state travelers, you must visit and have some tasty yummy tacos and take time to enjoy the Wasatch mountain front views. Spectacular.
The setting is breathtaking.

Read moreFirst time at Taqueria 27. We sat and got some carne asada fajitas. As we were eating my young son spotted a QR code that had a sentence above it inviting you to scan and get a free dessert. We both did and we both got the message for them. When i asked to the server to redeem them, he denied to bring 2 because he said “it’s only one per table”. But the two of us signed up and the 2 of us got the text message for it. Still, the server named STEW S didn’t want to honor it. We didn’t argue, we didn’t exchange more words about it but it was really disappointing. Not because we didn’t get an extra free dessert but because MR. STEW S with his silly answer thought he was fooling me and i take that as a very disrespectful behavior. I looked at the paper that has the QR code on it searching for any little or hidden letters that reaffirm what Mr. STEW said, but not clue at all. If you don’t want to give any free stuff, (you don’t have to), then just take away those QR codes from your tables and problem solved. Also, when i asked the hostess to grab the server so we can pay and leave, MR. STEW S approached to the table yawning several times like if we just woke him up from his nap and we were disturbing him by requesting him to cash us out. Very unprofessional behavior. Do you still need MR. STEW S to work for you? Sad experience. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am not asking for coupons, free meals or any kind of compensation. I just want people to be treated fairly and stop these kind of individuals like MR. STEW S act like if they own the business. Or, he actually does? I really don’t think so. Your restaurant can get busier if you get the right people on...
Read moreI’ve always been a fan of T27, but our recent visit to the Fashion Place location was incredibly disappointing and has made us not want to return—especially since we voiced our concerns to the owners and still haven’t received a response after more than two weeks.
During this visit, our server seemed uninterested from the start. He didn’t mention any of the specials and hurried away before we could even order appetizers. When we finally placed our appetizer order, one arrived before our drinks, and the other didn’t come out until 15–20 minutes later with our entrees. Unfortunately, everything was lukewarm, though the flavors were good. To make matters worse, our server spilled one of our drinks onto the table and didn’t clean it up—we had to flag down another server to address it. Moreover, this was an alcoholic drink, and he didn’t offer to remake it.
The cleanliness of the restaurant was also concerning. Two tables next to us remained uncleared throughout our entire meal, with dirty dishes left sitting out. Notably, the restaurant wasn’t overly busy, and there appeared to be enough staff to clean up the mess. Additionally, the light fixture above our table had visible cobwebs and dust, as did several other fixtures within view.
I highly recommend that the owners address these issues to improve the experience for...
