WZRD Electronics — Attraction in Nacogdoches

WZRD Electronics is OUTSTANDING. I’ve taken multiple iPhones there for repair/recovery. I brought my netbook here too, for a charging issue.

My first visit to WZRD w/an iPhone was when I brought a device with a wiggly/intermittent charging port. I was a little nervous giving someone I’d just met my passcode, but in a situation like this what’s my alternative? You know how when you meet someone and you can just tell they’re honest and they’re good at what they do? That’s Oscar.

Oscar called me after examining my device and let me know it had bigger problems. When I came to pick it up Oscar was super nice and explained everything so this non-techie could understand.

My most recent visit was for an iPhone that died while we were on vacation. (How was I supposed to remember it was in my pocket when I plopped in the ocean?) The device was insured and backed up, but I didn’t notice until after my phone was dead that about a year’s worth of photos didn’t transfer during the last backup. On top of that I lost all the vacation photos I’d taken up to that point (our first cruise with our kids).😖 I was about to send the phone to my insurance provider (they need the device before they’ll pay out) when I recv’d a “left behind” notification after heading out to dinner with my son. I thought the phone was completely dead!!?! But here it was, sending notifications. So it WAS still somehow working. I was completely freaked out about my data being available to whoever the insurance company sold my device to.

Argh.

I searched online, but the recovery places I found were all on the east coast, were very expensive, offered no guarantee of recovery and no money back if recovery was unsuccessful, and basically put me in the same position as surrendering my phone to strangers at the insurance company.

I stopped by WZRD to ask if there was anything they could do - Oscar said “Absolutely!” All he needed was a USB to put the recovered data on.

What what WHAT??!!!!!

Oscar also asked if I wanted the device restored to factory after recovery…I’d thought of that earlier but completely forgot once he told me recovery was a possibility. YES! WIPE IT!

My biggest fear with this phone, which I literally do ALL my financials on, was sending it off. Someone would repair whatever was wrong (Oscar diagnosed it was just a failed screen) and have complete access to my credit card & banking apps.

Oscar messaged me several times throughout the recovery process just to let me know they were still working and after a few days notified me that my device was ready.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect, but I at least knew my device was wiped and my data was no longer threatened.

I just put the USB into my laptop about 15 minutes ago and I swear I heard angels sing. All of my contacts, and more importantly thousands upon thousands of photos… ALL THERE! I haven’t even gone through the everything on the recovery USB because I’m currently saving all my precious photos to an external hard drive.

I am both thrilled & relieved by the magic WZRD did for me. I have all my photos again and my apps, passwords & data are WIPED. My phone is ready for whatever the insurance company wants to do with it.

I highly recommend Oscar and WZRD Electronics. This is an upstanding, honest, miracle-working company with knowledgeable, kind, honest employees.. WZRD is the only company I trust with our electronic devices and their sensitive data.

I brought in my galaxy s8 plus, new LCD&back glass. (THIS WAS THE 2ND ONE, {BRAND NEW} THE 1ST DID HAVE BAD BURN~IN,) They put the new LCD on and back glass, I left it with them at 11:30am, I calld 3 times only to be told that someone different was still workin on it. So, knowin that they close at 6:00 I went there. They had it done. When I got it I noticed that the back glass wasn't seated flush, I said something to the lady, she tells me I need to put more pressure on it, WAIT? WHAT ? I need to? That's what they were paid to do, any ways, I go, put my card back on it, start to reset my fingerprint ,that don't work now, so I put the phone in my case and as I snap it on I felt I a crunch and heard it too, the back where it wasn't flush the whole left bottom corner has a crack now. I took it back in there and of course they didn't do anything wrong, they claim... So whatever. I strongly so NOT recommend this place. Yall r jus a bad business.. Either way let people kno that's all this mess is. .The 2nd screen was brand freakin new! And there's no reason it took ALL day! And the back new back glass I bought DIDN'T COME WITH A FINGERPRINT SENSOR, SO U HAD TO TAKE THE ONE OFF OF THE ORIGINAL SAMSUNG BACK! !! !! THAT ONE WORKED! ! U MESSED IT UP Latest update, couple a days ago I did talk to one of the people there, we agreed that if they ordered the right back glass, (with the camera lens that's not just a flat circle) and a new fingerprint sensor, if the one on my phone wasn't just not connected properly, And had it by Friday, (today) that I would change my rating to 5 stars.. .It's 1:08, I haven't heard anything from them, the guy told me "we still have ur info, I will let u kno." Oh well, I guess lesson learned small toenails shops just do do it like big...

UPDATE AGAIN well just took my iphone to another shop out of town they took it apart and wow cant believe what this guy showed me iwizz tech did not even put the metal cover back in the phone it was bad enough they did not put the chips back but i am so mad at these people for doing me like this and charge me a reasonable 25.00 fee and did not assemble it right. At least it powered on when i had it .But this place is not recommended.) I never hit display table and bad business when a person takes a phone in and does come on and works except the touch screen and now get it back and dont work at all you left some chips out you said and did not even bother putting them back. That aint right.)Took my iphone 6 in it was only little over a month old ..bought at walmart without warranty ..touch screen stopped working took it to iwizz they tried different screens that did not fix it. Saod ot was some kind of chip on the board. Had it for a week, amd came back today Thursday and he said they was un able to fix it. Ok when i had it at least it would power on amd everything worked except the touch screen ..well he tells me rhey left chips out and now my iphone 6 wont even power on or do amything. I wanted to at least hook it to my computer if they could not fix it. But now i can't even do that . and also still charged me 25.00 fee and i will never go back there again nor will i ever recommend this place to amyone. They did me wrong. Not...
