A long, long time ago, this place was lots of fun. Truthfully, you can still have fun if you are not actually bowling competivly with friends. The lane we started out on can't seem to count the number of pins you knock down correctly. Had to edit the score every time. After complaining about it several times, I was told, "Yeah, the camera on that lane is a bit foggy. We have been having trouble with it for quite some time." 1st off, if you know it's an issue, and there are probably 20 lanes total, with inly 5 in use, why did you put us here? 2nd, we were able to move to another lane. This lane's overhead monitor would not come on at all, and after complaining about it to the attendant (Who was more interested in his coloring book) I was told to just use the computer screen in front of us. We continued trying to bowl, only to discover that our bowling balls would not return. Complained again, and someone was sent to retrieve them. This was a problem every single time for about 2 hours. Upon complaining about it more, the attendant seemed irritated and said, "we gave you more time"....my response was, "Yeah, it's kind of hard to bowl without a ball??? Every time we tried to start our approach, the floor seemed sticky and our shoes would "stick". Almost making you fall over because there was no "slide" on the floor. All of the house balls appear to be the ones that were bought when the place was 1st opened on 10/15/1997. Bring your own ball, and a cheap one, because yours will be damaged as well throwing on the lane we were on. Easy to see if the ball is not returning, something is hanging it up which will scratch and damage your ball. We were not trying to get anything for free, not trying to get a discount, just trying to have a good time. May be a good place for a bunch of children to play, but as an adult looking to get some practice, it was frustrating and a waste of time. I'm not sure who owns the place, but it is obvious that they do not want to spend a penny updating or upgrading it. On a different note, the men's restroom is....well.....I have used cleaner port-a-potties on construction sites. Hopefully the women's is better. Someone in our group ordered chili cheese fries, and both orders tasted like spaghetti sauce was used rather than Chili. If you are the owner, and you are reading this, it would behoove you monetarily to pay attention to what has happened to this facility under the management that is currently responsible. Who knows, maybe you just don't care. It's obvious that someone doesn't. Lots of folks will not come back, ever. Sad deal here...
Read moreI’ve spent many, many hours in this place. As someone looking to have fun with family and friends, as well as an employee. Yes, the place is old, in need of some repairs, and could be cleaner. However, most problems i’ve come across have come from customer impatience. Again, the place is older, and a few of the machines take a bit longer to function than expected. When you come in to bowl, it’s fun. With others or alone it’s fun. When machines have small malfunctions, there’s always someone on the way to fix it. The purpose of Texas Pro Bowl is to be a bowling alley and most don’t see that because they’re too busy complaining or whining about “the state of the place” instead of what they came there to do. So, while the place does have minor inconveniences, it’s still a bowling alley. But if you are looking for a perfect, up to date, spotless bowling alley, don’t come here. If you want to have a good time with family or fiends, then this is a fantastic place, as well as being one of the only establishments in Nac that provides fun...
Read moreAlways a fun place to go, epically when the nights get shorter this is something that you can do later. It's not bad compared to other bowling alley's I've been to. I haven't had to mess with the staff too much besides just checking in. I have my own pair of shoes so I don't mess with that either. I enjoy bowling, never had an issue finding the right ball. You have to expect the finger holes to be too big because they can cater to more people that way. I usually bowl with a 10# and never have a hard time finding one. The lanes are fine, usually not too much oil but I never go on a league night. There is food and a bar, but I don't know how the pricing is because I usually come after lunch or dinner. Something neat about Texas Pro Bowl is they do drill bowling balls here which is something most people don't know. Good atmosphere, I...
