The sea was raging today, like a furious water elemental on a bad day. Entering the water felt like a Constitution check against pain – sharp shells and broken crustaceans made every step a challenge without shoes.
Scattered all over the sand were mysterious files (possibly the remains of a drowned bureaucracy golem?) and in the center of it all: one massive dead fish, looking like it just failed its final saving throw.

That other beach is almost 10 miles away, so the best choice if you're in the city is Naples Beach. I always go when a lot of people go, but I always find space and parking. Strong winds. Make sure you bring something to protect your feet from the huge amount of shells scattered. I bought some special water slippers on Amazon that were about $12.
