Tommy BOO-Hama. I strongly stressed a food allergy to the bartender yet my wife's plate came out with Shrimp. We had to turn back the plate and also my own so my wife and I could eat together. I am not sure where the disconnect may have been, either with the initial order or at the kitchen. The manager seemed unseasoned for such an establishment but she was cordial and did tend to our needs appropriately claiming that a new dish would be made. When the plates came back, her dish was now correct, but my $52 steak was cold to the touch. Not even a courtesy of a quick seer to warm the meat before serving. Although I do have to say the temperature of medium-rare was as requested. At the end of the evening when we got our bill, I did not have any discounts at all. Not even the two club sodas or the soup appetizer was stricken from the bill considering the importance of stressing a food allergy and potential health concerns this could have caused. On the way out the manager happened to be crossing paths and she asked how was the experience. I gave her honest feedback and she looked like a deer in headlights. She offered to remove some items off the bill, but at that point it was too little, too late. As a professional at this prestigious Naples Fl hot-spot, the first action should have been to provide some sort of compensation for the incompetence of serving a dish to someone with an allergy and additional wait time in receiving my $52 cold steak. Actually I cannot fault the manager completely, albeit she did seem a bit out of her element for such an affluent demographic. I believe Tommy Bahama corporation also deserves some failings in their neglect to properly vet and train staff to make sure the customer experience...
Read moreJust had to add, we returned again on 10/14 to celebrate my husband’s birthday with friends. The hostess, Lexi, was outstanding! She welcomed us warmly and made us feel like we had just come home! Haven’t had that since the days when Paige hosted and wish they could bring her back, too! The new manager, Anthony, is a tremendous addition - Finally a solid management team there with Kyle, too! Our server, María, was lovely. It’s clear they will need more staff as snowbirds are arriving. Food was awesome as always as we are frequent fliers here over many years and have never had a negative experience. My husband enjoyed his pina colada cake. Music was great, too!
One of our long-time favorite places to bring people to dine. Terrific atmosphere, delicious food, outstanding service - always! This location has had a revolving door in management since Richard and Janel moved on but we believe their latest hire, Kyle, is THE BEST we’ve seen in a very long time. We always make reservations for holidays during season well in advance. When we repeatedly asked other managers there about scheduling, they were unable to facilitate this. However, Kyle had absolutely no problem making this happen and thanked us for bringing his attention to it. He is undeniably management material! He takes initiative and customer service is clearly his priority. Wish you could clone him. He is the gold standard! Wish you could have brought Paige back to the hostess station but she left after Hurricane Ian. She would have been great at management! Kudos to Bonnie for her outstanding service this past Saturday night. Music was, as always, awesome! Love this place. Ahi tacos are great. Snapper was...
Read moreI had been at this place many times over past ten to twenty years. And it never disappointed me for the taste of the food. Many people will agree with me in terms of the challenge of visiting restaurants with little grandkids. My daughter made a reservation several weeks ago for 11 am the opening hour. With so many grandkids at the beach, I knew that we will be late. So I called the restaurant to let them know. After over ten rings three times five to ten minutes apart, no one answered. I wrote a text message, phone says it is a land line which I kind of knew. When we arrived 20 minutes late, by the way restaurant was still 80 % vacant, the receptionist David said my reservation was cancelled because I did not show up for 15 min. I admit that it is my fault not show up on time, but as I described restaurant was 80 % vacant. David asked me whether I wanted to speak to the manager. I sure said yes. After he spoke with his manager, we got seated. During the meal, the lady manager approached me and asked me what had happened. I explained, and the cell phone has the proof that I called multiple times. She apologized and did not charge for the appetizer. I insisted to pay and paid with a bit less gratuity. If I accepted free appetizers, then I think I lose the opportunity to write this review. As I mentioned earlier I have full compliment to the chef. But the receptionist David made me to have another opinion for...
