Ok, so where do I start...I do not know where to begin.
I set up this transaction by phone. Our daughter will be attending school in the area and is moving into an apartment. She needed everything. Due to our schedules, we only had this Saturday to travel to Nashville, acquire furniture and get it delivered. So what did I do? I checked Google Reviews. EVERYONE WAS CORRECT!!!!
By phone, two weeks ago, I arranged everything with the owners, Randy and Tim., sight unseen. I'm not asking everyone to subject them to this, but they reserved a delivery time for us PRIOR to the purchase. Our plans were for us to walk in at 9am, pick out an apartment FULL of furniture, purchase it, and get it delivered. By 3:30pm our daughter's apartment was filled. Bedroom set, living room set, tables, TV stand, stools for her eating counter, dining room table, lamps,....what else....EVERYTHING that she needs is IN her apartment. We could not be more pleased.
Imagine the call coming in on their side...."there is a gentleman on the phone who wants to see if his daughter can come down in two weeks and buy furniture to have it delivered the same day........, he is calling from NY"
Who else would even take the phone call, from someone from NY who is promising to be in the store two weeks later to purchase furniture AND get it delivered the same day? Randy and Tim, that's who. They could have easily "forgot" and not had the truck available for delivery, etc. But NO, they kept their word.
The store? It's a great family owned business. It is filled with southern hospitality. In times of dishonesty and misconception, and trying to take advantage of people, they are the direct opposite. I'm ready for a few pieces in my home. We need a Sanders up here!.
I could not make the trip. My daughter and wife walked in and were treated like family. They had everything to their liking in stock with the exception of maybe a table or two, but it is on the way. The selection was very tasteful, clean, and appropriately priced. The furniture was delivered the same day (set up in advance). They were careful in their delivery method, neat, clean, polite.
GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS
There should be a separate blog or set of reviews for people relocating to Nashville. Sanders should be the only name on the list for furniture companies. Did I say that the mattress was delivered also? Yea, that too.
I started writing this review on my blackberry but I had to add more to it via my laptop. My blackberry is limited in internet ability and speed of typing. Sanders is unlimited in their desire to do the absolute BEST for their customers.
These guys and their entire operation are first class. From the moment one walks in, until leaving, the experience is unimaginable. They go the extra mile. They are attentive. They do what they say they will do.
55,000 stars is what they deserve, along with a link from every apartment complex in Nashville. If anyone gives them less than 10 stars, they are being less than dishonest.
Nuff said?
Thank you, gentlemen.
I will stop by and meet you on my next trip...
Read moreI needed a new a sofa after moving, but kept putting it off. It seems like all the big box/warehouse furniture stores in the area have mediocre reviews. Salespeople who see you as a wallet with a person attached to it, pricing games, delivery nightmare stories, etc. Makes you want to purchase online and avoid going into a store all together, but there are some things you need to shop for in person. I found Sanders Furniture online and after reading all the positive reviews, decided to give them a shot.
--Location: Charlotte Ave across from Richland Park in West Nashville. Hattie B's Hot Chicken and Bobbies Dairy Dip are just down the road. --Facility: It's not a fancy big box showroom. However, it's clean, well lit, easy to get around, and full of furniture. --Selection: Very good, especially sofas and mattresses. They carry Ashley Furniture and others within the same price range. In the event they don't have what you're looking for on-hand, check out the kiosk. It's a large digital touchscreen (think of a digital catalog) listing hundreds of other pieces of furniture that you can order. --Prices: Every piece of furniture has a tag with the brand, model, and price clearly marked. I did some quick comparison shopping on items in the store and on the kiosk against the Ashley Homestore website. Sanders had the lowest price on every item by a good margin. --Salespeople: No pushy salespeople here. A very nice lady greeted me as I walked in and asked how she could help. I was looking for a sofa, but wasn't sure what I wanted. She explained the layout of the store, where the sofas were located, and advised me to come find her or any other member of the staff if I had any questions. No pressure at all. This is a family owned business that understands how to treat customers. The sofa I wanted happened to be part of a sofa/loveseat set, but I didn't need the loveseat. No problem. Sanders was happy to sell me just the sofa. --Checkout: Very easy. There was no attempt to up-sell me on a a furniture protection plan, extended warranty, etc. They asked if I needed delivery. I said yes, and they advised they could deliver the sofa the same day if I wanted, or I could pick another day that was more convenient for me. --Delivery: I live within 19 miles of the store, so they charged me $39 for same day delivery. When I purchased the sofa, I was given a time-frame on when the delivery driver would call to advise he was on his way. As promised, Dakota called to advise the truck was leaving the store. When the delivery truck arrived, Dakota called again to let me know he was here. The sofa arrived in a clean, well marked, well maintained delivery truck. Dakota and his coworker were polite and professional. They carried the sofa into my apartment and placed it where I asked. --Summary: If you're shopping for furniture, give Sanders an opportunity to earn your business. With a great selection, great prices, and excellent customer service, they earned mine. I'll definitely be coming back for my...
Read moreThere was a bed I’d fallen in love with, and NO ONE had it in stock, online or in-store. Sanders had the bed on their website so I called them and Tim, rather than have me come in the store and look around, put me on FaceTime and shopped around the store with me, showing me every single bed option that matched the bed I described. After a good 20 minutes, lo and behold, he found the bed of my dreams in their warehouse, with me… still on FaceTime. When I came in later to buy the bed, Randy gave me an almost too-good-to-be-true price. As an added bonus, they delivered the bed and completely set it up, all within a few hours after I purchased it! Shout out to the delivery team - they were like super heroes driving a delivery truck. They swooped in, assembled my bed with care, and even measured the wall to make sure they had it centered perfectly when they placed it. I mean, who does that?! These guys! I’ve been frugally furniture shopping for a while now, slowly chipping away at furnishing my new home, and I’ve been in every single furniture store in the greater Nashville area. Chains, Big Box Stores, teeny tiny shops on Nolensville and Dickerson Pike - you name it, I’ve been there. Some of those stores make you feel less like a customer and more like a gazelle…out in the open…with a hungry salesperson puma stalking your every move. Not at Sanders! You walk in, they warmly greet you, and then guess what, they let you wander…all on your own, and don’t stalk you through the huge selection of furniture. They give you breathing room and just let you shop, the way nature intended. Haha There is always someone within earshot if you have a question or need help, but they aren’t pushy and they don’t hover. They give you space to shop and allow you to take your time… which you’ll need, because there is truly a large inventory of unique and gorgeous furniture in this store. As an added bonus, they have a huge kiosk where you can shop their online furniture selection, as well. Anything they don’t have physically in the store, they can order it for you. I can’t say enough good things about this store - Sanders is definitely a furniture store “gem” in a city full of overpriced furniture store “rocks”.
-Make sure to zoom in on the photo and fully check out that gorgeous solid wood headboard with a “live edge”. I don’t even have a mattress yet; and I don’t care, because I have my amazing bed! Thank...
