1st visit: fell in love with the place. Walking distafrom home, excellent for my children and I to get exercise and some books. My daughter has been reading one of her books waking to tell me, she wishes this book would never end. This store seemingly small has exceptional titles and authors. I know my daughter will be asking to return before finishing her 3 books. My son has his two books, but was more interested in the gifts around the store. So he walked, I think sat in every seat in the store. This one needs some time to glance the isles and tables of great features. So next visit we'll be there moments after opening to spend that time. Thank you to this hidden gem of literary life...

So glad this bookstore is here. It is a warm and kind place of community. Full of knowledge with books for adults as well as an impressive collection of books for children. Great place to get a gift for friends, family members, yourself and kids. They also host events through the year, I’ve always had a good time here. They also have a drawing area for kids. The store dog, Sugar, is a delight. For the holidays this year, 2023, they have a rack of new kids coats for free. I know this store will be a part of the Dwight neighborhood and New Haven community for a very long time.

What a find! This independent Bookstore is nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Creative programming for all ages. Books everywhere you look. Knowledgeable owner and staff. Gift items and other things too. Be careful parking on this one way street. They recently created a row of spaces in the street with bike lane on either side and a passing lane. Very confusing. Be sure not to block anyone's driveway.

This book store is amazing in every way. The walls, decor , literature , the plants and of course sugar. I wish there was a place growing up like this near me. I loved reading as a kid and young adult. I have take breaks and then jump back in to devour books. This place also offers events and has a book club. I truly love it. Attended an open event for all discussing Fred M from who was a part of the Black Panther organization and dissected poetry. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere. Diverse group of people with many different backgrounds in one room discussing literature, sharing their work and laughing. I love the owner as well. She gave me 4 book recommendations which I bought all of them. I will be back...

I love the rich selection and its focus on unrepresented authors, but when I wanted a title that wasn't readily available in the shop, there was no issue at in putting in the order for me. I also greatly appreciate how its as much a community setting as it is a shop. I live nearby, so a few times I've popped in just to relax and read, with absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. Plus, the owner Lauren Anderson is doing fantastic work with outreach and building connections across the city.

Possible Futures is nothing short of absolute gem that we're lucky to have...
