So I do not hate this place (let me preface that, their foods good, and when picking up it's A1 for the lower CT area, and I hope you guys stay around for a long time to come).
However, when it comes to your online and delivery service (not the driver, but transparency and communication efficiency), it's pretty trash, ESPECIALLY when going through a secondary or tertiary company to handle the customer service for you, as while they tend to be fairly decent to talk to, there seems to be constant miscommunication between you and the customer whenever there is a go-between.
Again, no hate, but this should be fixed and become more efficient or you'll have more customers like me telling of the bad delivery experience and wasted time and money, and I don't want that, I love our states pizza places, especially locally owned and not just corporations.
Hopefully this detailed review helps, my food was lost 2x in the midst of order and I was told I was called when I waited by the door the 2nd time phone in hand to make sure I'd pick up if you called, and then this was told to the customer service on Slice and they even saw the apparent contradiction in this, I'm unsure if your phone was out of service or what, but it cost me hard earned money, hopefully as I'm writing this the remake that I have to now stay up really late for will be worth it (as your food is again good to me).

Read moreThis is one of those times where I wish I could give negative stars. Like -100 if there was such a thing. This place is ridiculous. We ordered two steak & cheese subs for delivery on New Years, the total was $22. There were literally two strips of some steak-um like substance and a miniscule amount of melted cheese with a sprinkling of lettuce. 22 dollars?? We called to complain. Having taken pics of the sandwiches we were going to show the owner in the morning. We weren't even particularly looking for a refund we were just really dissatisfied with the quality. The owner began yelling at my husband & told him to bring the sandwiches back right away. At 2:30 in the morning. We ordered take out because of the time, we were definitely not driving anywhere. If that wasn't bad enough, when my husband tried to reason with him the man threatened to kill him & hung up. We tried calling back but the man wouldn't answer until we used another phone. When he finally answered again he repeated his threat and hung up again. I actually have that call recorded. Listen people we don't wanna die over 22 bucks or two crappy subs, ( our address & phone numbers are in his system clearly printed on our reciept, not taking any chances lol). Read moreI had a horrible experience with New Haven Pizza. First, I ordered two sandwiches and a Margherita pizza. I got food delivered and checked my package after he left and I had received a caesar salad instead of my pizza. I called to complain and they said they would send me my pizza. At least half an hour after my call, the delivery guy comes back and says sorry forgot your pizza in the back, here ya go. My pizza was ice cold! And, it appeared it had been sitting in a bottle of oil, it was so greasy. It had been sitting in his car for possibly an hour and they handed it right back to me. I called the restaurant to complain again. I asked for a new pizza or a refund and they started yelling at me. For their mistake, they wanted me to drive to the restaurant to warm up the pizza I already received. Then my boyfriend got on the phone and started talking to the guy and the guy kept saying they were busy, couldn't bring us a new pizza, and then hung up on him! We called back, asked again for a new pizza or a refund and they hung up on us again! So rude! It is ridiculous that they would not remedy their mistake and then had the nerve to hang up on us! As a business, you should be responsible for fixing something you did wrong. OK, you forgot my pizza the first time... but bring me a nice warm new one! And don't hang up on a customer! Don't ever order food from them!...
