This skate park is great! Not to mention the attached shop has a wide variety of merchandise. They take pride in their buisness, as they should, and are very community driven. The locals that come in are very tight knit, they are a family. I have just started coming to Hive, as I am learning to skate and I can see that it is a very diverse community. Everyone is welcome there. Every time I walk into the park, I see a few different kinds of people, from all walks of life. Rich, poor, old, young...it doesn't matter where you came from. No matter what gender you are, your ethnicity or race, your skill level in skating...you will be accepted into the colony. Read moreSuch a cool skate shop and skatepark! I went with my two friends last Saturday and we rollerbladed/skated all over the park until my friend got hurt and we had to take him to the ER. (He's fine, just dislocated his elbow, totally his fault not the Park's, these things happen when you skate!)
Everyone there was super helpful though and even helped us make a makeshift splint for my friend out of duct tape and thrasher magazines.
Awesome ledges, awesome pipes, awesome transitions, and the artwork/music sets a great mood! The owner's are super friendly and let my friend borrow a deck since his board was pretty shot.
