Trestle Depot Recreation Area — Attraction in New Mexico

Had a great time exploring and hiking. Pulling in there was plenty of parking and bathrooms right off the lot. Right at the bathrooms were maps so maping trails was easy. Trails were also visibly marked. Devils elbow, s trestle,and Mexican trestle were all amazing and breathtaking especially since the leaves just started turning. The hike down of course was very easy. The hike back up does gain elevation quickly but there are many spots to stop and rest and enjoy...

Great place to visit with the family. This is an overlook that boats wonderful views of the white sands and Tularosa basins spread across the dessert and sand dunes oh White Stands national monument. Here you can also see some of the original narrow gauge railroad trestle Bridges that scattered about on the way up to the nearby Village of Cloudcroft, NM. This is a beautiful area surrounded by trees. There are a few different trails ranging from handicap accessible to intermediate difficulty.
