Today I went into the New Milford, Ct store and I waited about 20 minutes for a money order. No bigee! However, when I got to the desk a couple came buy just as I reached the desk to were I was standing and they were annoyed because I was being waited on first, I was next in line. Apparently, they were here before me awhile ago and a computer went down that was supposed to process their order for what ever they needed. The clerk who was by herself told me very sharply, "they are next in line, not you!!!" Then she explained their situation w/ the computer to me. O.k., first of all she was very rude and should have told me the situation before hand. I said, "I would have gladly let them go first if you told me the situation." She was nasty, snarling and extremely condescending. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Does Walmart train their employees to chill out and be tolerant when it's busy? Hello, I've been working retail since I graduated college. I've been on both sides of the fence, the executive and the sales associate and would tolerate that behavior of my people, whatsoever. Perhaps, she was having a bad day? I work for Bed, Bath & Beyond always with a smile. I am human but I know how to treat people the way I want to be treated!!! I walk into my job w/ a smile on my face regardless. My sister is dying and my nephew just got pulled off of life support. Would I take it out on anyone, not on your life because I am also a customer and once again I want to be treated the way I treat my customers. Some people just don't belong in retail and she is one of them. You have to be a people person and if you have to, fake that smile, be polite when your world is caving in. I have to!!!
