Discovering the exceptional gifts Priestess shares has been a life saver and life changer for me. Priestess is charming and genuine and and a thoughtful Soul. I’ve spent a lot of time with Priestess and observed a lot of her approach with guests, and while a reading may not be what you felt like hearing, we have to also understand that we are our own problems. I guess in the end, the VooDoo Spiritual Temple is either a place that resonates with you, or not. I’ve been to visit this unique center of high vibration countless times as a New Orleans resident and while visiting after id moved away. I’m sincerely thankful and appreciative for the many blessings and positive contributions Priestess has given me through the years, and I consider her a loving friend. At the VooDoo Spiritual Temple, you will find truth. Truth is a funny thing because while folks seek truth, they often times don’t much like it when they get it. Without hesitation, I’d encourage anyone willing to do the work of self help and self awareness to visit Priestess Miriam and the VooDoo Spiritual Temple with an open mind and an open heart ā™„ļø. As I’ve stated, my visits here changed my life for the better, and I’ve heard many others say those same words about this lovely place. Wishing all who seek truth the ability to accept and really allow truth to sink in. It’s a journey well worth it. Neena B

This temple is a place I visit off and on when in the New Orleans area... throughout the years, I have stopped many times at her temple... although spread out as I do not live in the area... I always enjoy seeing her... and know she has been helpful to many... this visit I sensed she is very concerned about many issues of the day, and her energy seemed different... The Voodoo Spiritual Temple is a one of a kind place and worth a visit if you are in the area...

Finally got a chance to stop and visit. going in ,I was trying to check out everything in the little shop. The couple seemed really nice ,till I asked a question about two of the products. Asked if i can use it to help/assist with the issues. The priestess was a bit rude with assumptions of my issue and cutting me off, not really listening. Hopefully next time we can both listen a little better šŸ«¶šŸ½

TLDR: Priestess Miriam is manipulating, psychologically abusive, ableist, and has very shady business practices. Don't go here.

I enjoyed going here several times for items to use and for gifts. Last time I went was the first time I had spoken to Priestess Miriam. She came out of the back and started speaking to me. I did not ask for her. I shared 2 sentences about what I was doing, since she came out and started talking to me. She interrupted me to respond to me saying I am sick and disabled, "Youre not disabled!"

She then proceeded to try to coerce me into a reading, told me I knew more than her as if she was putting me down and calling me a know it all, and literally responded by contradicting every single thing I shared about my own subjective and traumatizing experience.

I dont care how old you are, how wise you claim you are, what religion or spirituality you practice, If you think it is appropriate to tell anyone you just met that you know more than them about their own experience and you deny their reality of being disabled, You are ABUSIVE AND DANGEROUS.

I said one sentence with the energy that her judgment wasn't welcomed, and she moved her entire body up against the wall away from me. GOOD. STAY AWAY.

She distracted me the entire time while my things were then rung up and I didnt get to double check them nor price check. She also didnt give me my copy of the receipt. They did not return my message asking for a copy, either.

This is so so so shady and disappointing to know this place is not even authentic....

This woman is bittersweet. She is sweet to who she wants to be kind too. Then mean and nasty towards others. I was appalled by her behavior. A young lady came in the store visibly shaken by what see saw. Asked for something to help her feel safe. The husband points out a "protection"sach and sends her on the way. No instructions on how to use it. No comforting words. Nothing. At this point the woman begins to tell me what she saw. I reassured her that it's believable and to take care. The husband then tells me I'm interrupting the customers and to go in the back and sit down. 5 minutes later the wife "Mrs 80 y.o." comes out from her interview with the local press and tells me her age, her accomplishments and that I'm rude and she's sick of hearing people's problems. Then tells me to leave my ancestors alone and look for the breath that was left behind. The way I was addressed matched other low rating visitors. She was condescending and nasty. NO I don't recommend her or her products. And I generally have something positive to say. You can read my many other reviews. If you madam 80 y.o. happens to read this review, everything on this planet ages that doesn't give you a pass because you are old.

Please do yourself a favor and read the reviews prior to visiting this place. A better place is Voodoo Authentic in the French Quarters or many other...
