Whether you’re craving amazing Italian food or in need of a restaurant buyout situation for a special occasion, I wholeheartedly recommend Pulcinella!
I recently hosted a surprise 50th birthday party for my husband and decided to do a full restaurant buyout for the occasion—including an epic afterparty upstairs featuring live music and a burlesque performance by the lovely Bella Blue! Choosing Pulcinella and The Original Nite Cap for this celebration was truly one of the best decisions I have ever made!
From start to finish, the experience was seamless and memorable. Bella Blue worked closely with me on every detail, from the personalized RSVP link to the customized menu, to the seating arrangements, to the timing of the surprise. Bella and her team’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made planning such a big event feel stress-free.
The space itself was perfect—private, intimate, and elegant. It allowed us to celebrate with all our closest friends and family in a setting that felt both upscale and comfortable. Because we had the entire venue, we could personalize the atmosphere exactly how we envisioned it, and every guest felt welcomed and attended to.
The food was phenomenal. Chef Matty worked to create the perfect menu including dairy free options for the birthday boy. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Guests are still raving about the food! The drink service was just as impressive—signature cocktails and mocktails, a great wine list, and an attentive bar team.
The best part was seeing the look on my husband’s face when he walked in and saw everyone there—it was a moment I’ll never forget. The staff played a key role in helping us time everything perfectly so the surprise went off without a hitch.
Thank you Bella, Andrew, Chef Matty, & Team! This experience created a once-in-a-lifetime memory for us and I’m so grateful to the entire team for helping us make it happen. We can’t wait...
Read morewent here for the first time this past sunday, and i’m still thinking about it and what i’m going to order the next time i go four days later….
we started off with cocktails [the harlequin and the handsome gentleman] and also ordered the handpicked olive oil from italy by the owners with the house-made focaccia. the olive oil had a wonderful depth of flavor followed with a slight but pleasant spice to it, and the focaccia came in large, crispy on the crust but buttery and soft pieces. we followed that with the equally beautiful as delicious oyster artichoke soup as well as the beet, apple, and arugula salad which had one of maybe the most simple but the best vinegar dressings i’ve had in such a long time — it doesn’t even come close. not pictured is the smoked pork steak papacelle [i did not try this myself as i do not eat red meat or pork] and the seafood cannelloni because it was honestly devoured before i even remembered to snap a photo of either, unfortunately. you’ll just have to trust me that it is in fact incredible lol. we finished with the almond cake that comes paired with a lemon gelato. to say this was genuinely an incredible experience and might be one of the most exciting new places i’ve eaten at in new orleans is an understatement. much love to the whole staff here and how much thought and care has been put into this...
Read moreWe had the most amazing time at Pulcinella! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect — great music, warm lighting, and decor that instantly makes you feel cozy and welcomed. The whole place just gives off this classy, vintage vibe with a touch of fun.
And the food… OMG. Every single bite was unforgettable. We had the meatballs, bruschetta, stuffed shells, and seafood cannelloni — and every dish was a knockout. Flavors, presentation, all of it? Ten stars on a five-star scale. I truly believe anything on their menu is going to blow your mind.
Our server was an absolute sweetheart. She found out we were celebrating our 20th anniversary and brought over two glasses of champagne — such a thoughtful touch. ❤️
After dinner, we headed upstairs for the burlesque show, which you can bundle with your meal — and what a vibe! The entire place leans into that vintage burlesque feel, from the photos on the walls to the sultry beautiful atmosphere. The upstairs bar was just as impressive — fun, energetic, and serving up incredible drinks. I loved the “Gay as Hell” fruit punch — it was bold, sweet, and totally unforgettable.
Honestly, it was a night we’ll never forget. We’re already counting the days until we can go back and see everyone again expecially Bella ( my fav) . Pulcinella, you’ve got our hearts
