Right when I got there, my little buddy had to poo, but there were no bathrooms:( if you’re going to build a playground for children, I think it should be considered that children will for sure have to potty during their time there, and since it’s in the French Quarter, it’s not like there’s An abundance of public restrooms. I had to take him to a local restaurant and buy a drink and just hope and pray he didn’t have an accident while looking for a restaurant. I’m sure the thinking behind this, was that homeless people would use the facilities, so in that case, put a couple of Port o potty’s out. Unsightly, but if well maintained, could work and I think that would eliminate the potential problem of homeless people or street people from using a bathroom for purposes other than relieving themselves. Well, I’m sure a few other things can be done in there, but there’s no perfect solution. The playground equipment was interesting. We liked it. I’m reading that it’s not dog friendly, but that’s the only folks I saw there, was dog owners, not another child in sight, so I believe the park should definitely be dog friendly. That is more of a need in the Quarter than a child’s playgrohnd, in my humble opinion. But, please, as others have said, ‘pick up...

A large playground for kids that doubles as a dog park. It is easily the best park for Dogs in the city we have found so far! With the outrageous rules and elitist feel of "City Bark", Cabrini offers a more down to earth environment for Man's, Woman's, or gender neutral's best friend. Featuring, wide open spaces, plenty of oak trees for shade, and a water hose for thirsty pups, you couldn't ask for more!
The owners are responsible and friendly and also understanding that dogs will be, and should be dogs. If a scuffle breaks out the dogs are quick to be separated and the owners are just as quick to make amends.
Overall if you need a safe space to allow your pups to roam and be social with their own kind, give this park a 20 min and you'll fall in love just...

Make sure to check out the little Free Library near the entrance. The folks in the neighborhood keep pretty constant rotation of stuff in there ranging from children's books to adult novels or educational materials. Be aware that this is a dog-friendly Park and though there are posted leash rules they are rarely followed. Fortunately, there's a pretty large open field area and the dogs and owners all know to stick to that. Besides, who doesn't want to watch a dog play fetch for 20 minutes during their...
