This place is amazing! Killer service, kick ass atmosphere, & amazing merch.

First, hair:

I get my hair done here. I get boring highlights, but if you want literal rainbows hand painted in your hair, they’ve got you covered there too! Anything you can imagine, the SCIP team can do with your hair. Cuts & blowouts are also great! I’ve been a loyal customer since their inception & I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair.

Second, Atmosphere:

SCIP is a hair salon, but it’s so much more. Inside & out, it is a museum & a veritable peak into the creative & whimsical mind of the shop’s owner, Dara, who has made set pieces like giant iridescent crystals sprouting from the walls, herself. Color & whimsy are the stars of each room except the shampoo room, dimmed and flowered, perfect for that post-shampoo stupor. The place is just a joy to spend time in.

Third, Merch:

SCIP is a boutique every bit as much as a salon, & their merch is stellar! They make a lot of it by hand, so it’s the cool sort of stuff you won’t find anywhere else. Giant wigs painted with clouds? Check. Bejeweled masks? Check. Far out clothes & costumes? Double check!

Last, Peeps:

I’ve already mentioned Dara, the owner, and she, her stylists, & staff really make everyone feel welcome. Everyone’s friendly. Everyone’s cool. You’ll walk out the door with a shiny new head of hair, a bag full of fun baubles, & a restored faith...

Went in to get a haircut for the first time since the pandemic. I’ve been cutting my own hair that entire time and it looked okay but I was so sick of it, it just felt boring. So I went in and got a super quick wash and cut from a stylist who’s name I believe was Ashley and she did such a great job! It looks exactly like I wanted it to, which is basically like a modern mullet. She was super nice and had a calm energy which I really appreciated cause I’ve been going through it lately and didn’t want to feel put on the spot. Everybody else on the shop had such a nice energy as well. At no point did I feel like anybody was judging me or being rude or snooty like you can experience in a lot of other hair salons. Also it’s really hard to resist all of the colors and the general energy in the shop. Everything is painted and decorated to the nines and it’s so visually stimulating, but not overstimulating. Also, the product they used made my hair smell sooo good and it’s insanely soft now and shiny now. I’ll definitely be making this my regular spot...

I can't believe the work that Pizza does over @SheComesinPeace! The first time I met her was at a vending event. I mentioned wanting to color my hair to which she said let me do it. I am really picky about who touches my hair as I have been traumatized many times by people with good intentions but lacked the ability to apply the theoretical to the practical application. If you have a wild, crazy, out of the box idea and would like to see your idea become a reality, I would highly recommend Pizza as the results I obtained far exceeded my expectation several times. They went above and beyond and truly showed their artistic talents in my opinion. I give them 6 Stars and Two thumbs up. All the artists at the shop are top notch from what I have observed, I only speak about pizza from my personal experience though.
