4/21/2025 I am extremely disappointed and upset with the experience I had today, and I feel obligated to update my review based on what just happened. About 2–3 weeks ago, I brought my son's tablet to iPhixSmart for repairs. Eddie (I believe he's the owner) was absolutely amazing — super helpful and professional with both me and my husband. Because of his excellent service, I left feeling confident and happy with our choice to bring the tablet there.
However, yesterday (4/20/2025), I noticed my son's tablet was showing a message that the SIM card was missing. Yes, I’ll admit I should have checked the tablet before leaving the store weeks ago, but the only place it had been opened and worked on was at iPhixSmart — so naturally, I assumed the issue might have started there.
I called this morning (4/21/2025) to ask if they could check their system and see if anything had been noted regarding the SIM card, or at least give me some guidance. The man who answered — definitely NOT Eddie — was extremely rude, dismissive, and totally unhelpful. He didn’t even bother looking up the repair history, didn’t ask for my name, and just said, “Go to your carrier for a new SIM card.” That’s it. No effort, no basic customer service.
Since I live nearby, I stopped by the store in person hoping to get a little more clarity or possibly speak to someone else. Unfortunately, the same rude man was there and continued to be unprofessional and absolutely unwilling to help. I calmly explained the situation, and he flat-out said, “I can’t help you.” I asked to speak with Eddie or another manager and he told me no. Not “he’s not here,” not “let me check” — just a flat-out “no.”
I’m shocked at how quickly the great first impression was destroyed. I’m not asking for miracles — just basic courtesy, a willingness to look into my concern, or even a simple “Let me get your info and have someone follow up.” Instead, I was treated like a burden and left feeling completely disrespected. This is by far the worst phone repair experience I’ve ever had. I paid $70 for a screen replacement, and they returned my phone wrapped in rubber bands. The screen shattered the very next day. When I brought it back, the man there - who said he was the OWNER yelled at me, blamed me, and tried to sell me a $40 screen protector to “fix” their own low-quality work.
Over the next month, I gave this cell phone repair shop THREE more chances to replace the screen as promised. Every time, they claimed they would “order the part” but never did. On my last visit, they refused to return my phone because they “couldn’t verify it was mine” — and the owner yelled over me while I was calmly saying "I just want my phone back."
This phone repair store is rude, dishonest, and has zero respect for customers. If you’re searching for phone screen replacement or phone repair in New Port Richey, save yourself the headache and go anywhere else. Ladies — do NOT go here alone, and always wipe your phone before leaving it. CAUTION: Read the other one star reviews that are here on Google reviews. I wish I had before I trusted a 5 star review blindly!!!
