Hubba-Hubba — Attraction in New Trier Township

I'd like to give a heartfelt "shout-out" to Hubba-Hubba, my favorite small business in downtown Wilmette. True to its namesake, Hubba-Hubba offers an exciting and fun shopping experience. It is a great "feel good" boutique to visit for a trendy wardrobe update, offering both casual and special occasion shopping. The clothes are stylish, comfortable and affordable, and everything I have purchased has held up well with repeated wear. The owner, Julie Cohen, and her store manager, Jen Santo, have great taste and are most welcoming. They genuinely love what they do. They relate well to their customers and you always feel there is a personal connection. They are honest and won't tell you something looks good if it doesn't; they want you to love and enjoy what you purchase. In addition to clothing, you can complete your outfits with a wide selection of accessories, socks, scarves, shawls, jewelry, and purses. There are also well-priced unique gift items throughout the store.

Hubba-Hubba's customer appreciation is extended through a mobile app loyalty program as well as e-mail alerts, with periodic discounts and a birthday perk. I value the quality customer service I've received. Julie has ordered items for me when I needed a particular size that had sold out, and called when their next shipment arrived. She was also kind enough to offer me a water bottle on a particularly warm day in between trying on clothes.

Julie is also an active advocate for the beautification of our Wilmette community. She was instrumental in convincing the Village to enhance the downtown area with the eye-catching summer flower baskets that hang from the lamp posts, and plans to encourage the use of more banners along Green Bay Road to help support local businesses.

Hubba-Hubba recently celebrated 3 years in Wilmette and this fall will celebrate 30 years in the Chicago area. I look forward to supporting this outstanding small business for future milestones.

I’ve been shopping at Hubba Hubba in Downtown Wilmette since they opened 8 years ago. It is my “go to” boutique to find trendy stylish clothing & accessories. A excellently-curated women’s boutique. I don’t think I’ve ever been in and NOT found something to love. Need something to wear tonight? I bet you’ll find something. I love that they specialize in pieces that are not only on trend, but comfortable and easy to care for.
