MN Eis — Restaurant in New Ulm

I took my mom here because she came from out of state and I really do enjoy the life cream at this shop, but I had so many issues while I was there. First of all the staff is all highschoolers who have no direction. They are rude and do not have social skills AT ALL. They stand in the back flirting 90% of the time and I feel like that just ruins the vibe of the shop. Secondly my mom wanted to purchase a water bottle because she was thirsty and they were out. It’s been 90 degrees for a while… seriously stay in stock of your water because it’s hot. This whole experience was truly terrible and unless they fix this staffing issue I will not be back. The place is great, if you’re going there for the ice cream! However, the boba here is terrible. Tried it when they began offering it for the first time and gave it a second chance recently, hoping they learned their lesson, but nope! The tapioca pearls were both undercooked and mushy, which meant that the pearls had been sitting out for more than a couple of hours and shouldn’t be used for consumption, cause boba can’t be kept for very long after cooking until it goes bad. The tea flavors themselves aren’t bad, it’s only the pearls. I can only hope for it to improve (or they might as well take it...

This place is amazing. It gives me my Asian sweet fix. They have Hong Kong style bubble waffles. Comes with 2 scoops of ice cream and two toppings. Flavor of the waffle was good, tasted like an authentic bubble waffle. They also, have boba which has been a much welcome addition to New Ulm. I ordered the passion fruit black tea with poppin boba. Flavor was good, on par with a traditional boba shop. Would definitely recommend. Place does get busy and seating inside is limited. There is a parklet outside their front door which has additional seating. Service is also very good...
