If youâre looking for the most fun you can have for free at Alley Pond (besides walking your dog, having picnics, or playing cricket or flag football), look no further than the Adventure Course!
A huge shout-out to Lana, Julie, and the amazing staff who make it all possible for us Queens residents every Sunday. Theyâre some of the most supportive, high-energy people youâll ever meet â cheering you on through every twist, climb, and leap of your adventure!
One of the best parts? Itâs âadventure by choice.â That means if youâre not quite ready to face your fear of heights, no worries and no judgment â you can always stick to the ground challenges and still have a blast.

Read moreWhat a hidden gem on NYC! You came here to register for the morning program at 9:30am or 1pm for the afternoon session. Each session can hold about 25 people or so. At 10am or 1:30pm respectively you are then split up into smaller groups. A park ranger takes the small group through a series of small team building exercises and warm up activities on the ground for maybe an hour.

It takes about another hour for the activity as each individual in the group takes a single turn. At all times you are secured to a belay and are safe.
We did the morning session, went out for lunch and came back for the afternoon session so basically spent the whole day there.
The fact that this is free is awesome. They even refused...
