I came here expecting exceptional service but the service was lackluster. The waitress didn’t even smile. She never asked me how I’m doing or refilled my water. The manager was a different story. She smiled, asked me how I’m doing. The manager got me a fork, cleaned off my table, got my check, and even fruits at the end. The orange could have been seedless thou. I did find 5 seeds. I doesn’t cost a lot for seedless oranges. This is my first time eating out that I wanted the manager to get my tip instead of the waitress. I had 3 types of sushi totaling 18 pieces. I had soup but there wasn’t any big pieces of tofu or enough seaweed that I’m used to seeing in other Japanese restaurants. I also had the chicken teriyaki. The food was ample and delicious. Especially the teriyaki chicken. The only reason I would return here is because of the professionalism of the manager. I’d rather have the manager serve me than...
Read moreI have eaten here many times, though I can't vouch for the sushi since I have severely limited my consumption of seafood due to the Fukushima disaster and the Correxit used in the Gulf. Their teriyaki or hibachi steak is always excellent, the chicken is hit or miss though, seems they buy the cheapest chicken they can get and occasionally end up with an old fowl which is fine for making soup but not as an entree. If your real hungry you won't get full here but for a light meal your good to go. The meals come with a small salad which is iceberg lettuce with a very slight shaving of other vegetables but the ginger dressing is outstanding and some white rice. The price for the teriyaki dishes is under $17 plus tax. The atmosphere is nice and not pretentious, the wait staff are very nice and you can get anything they make to go even though this is obviously no take...
Read moreI use the online ordering and only ordered for take-out + delivery before. This was my favorite sushi place in Queens before. I did not come here in 2018 yet because they got 2 of my orders wrong in a row before (I order usually during holidays or weekends so I guess it was busy, but I think they mixed up part of my order w/ someone else's both times. I did not complain about it though so I do not know how their customer service is.) The delivery gentleman was always nice and friendly. I do not eat raw fish meat at most sushi places in US, but I tried roe a la carte and it was good. I always like their tempura and the chicken appetizers, soups, and veggie & spider rolls are also good. avocado in rolls was always fresh, and they have red bean ice cream!! The tempura udon noodle broth was so-so, noodles and tempura were...
