Golden one nail&spa — Local services in New York

if i could id definitely give 0 stars. i’ve visited this salon roughly 4 different times for a gel x set , and once for acrylic. every single time within the same week of getting them done they’d pop off , they would lift and not just 1 or 2 nails every single one of them begin lifting within the week. not to mention twice when getting gel x i had to stop the nail tech because she was going to proceed the manicure without trimming my nails down and i had to ask for them to be cut. my most recent visit i asked for a soak off bc once again they started to lift within the week however , THERE WAS WAS NO SOAKING OFF INVOLVED. no tin foil wrapped cotton with acetone literally nothing was soaked. nicole was the name of the tech who did it she used a PLASTIC NAIL EXTENSION to scrape and her electric drill to take apart my very recently done nails when i very clearly asked for a SOAK OFF. if you guys don’t do soak offs you should’ve specified that before sitting me down and tearing fresh nails off one by one. nicole also lied in my face saying the salon has never had customers say they experienced premature lifting & fallen nails the way i have , but reviews speak for themselves. multiple people have mentioned going through the same situation as i & its all here on google! after the nails were removed there was no clear coat put on & she put cuticle oil on just to have me wash it off seconds after. what’s the point in that? she didn’t cut my damaged nails down once again and at that point i was fed up and just wanted to leave knowing i could handle the rest better on my own at home. very disappointed. every set ranged from $65-$100 without including tip just for them to start coming off soon after im talking just days after. i would never recommend this place to anyone if you’re looking for quality work. customer service can only matter so much if the work itself is trash. under each review you can see the salon replying saying they listen to feedback to improve and whatnot and to mention names to handle employee negligence , just for the same issues to persist. you guys are robbing people of their time and money all while lying saying you make efforts to improve. terrible. after calling in an attempt to get a refund nicole tried shifting the blame on me. after noticing left over polish from my set on my natural nail she told me i should’ve gotten a manicure when she asked if i wanted one , as if it would’ve been free of charge but also admitting that i would’ve had to pay extra for a mani. she proceeded to tell me that because the nails were lifting so much she didn’t feel it as necessary to do a soak off but i asked for a service , she didn’t deliver. whether she felt it was necessary or not it doesn’t matter. a soak off wouldn’t have left residue behind , whether i got a manicure or not , hence why i asked for it. an...

Horrible!!!!!

I wish I could give this place 0 star. I had very bad experience here about more than 2 years back when they first opened up, all my family used to go to them. I went there today since my regular shop where I usually go was closed today and I have an event to go to.

I made 5:30 appointment there. They finally took me about 6:15 after they took the ones that came after me. Lady named “Joy” started helping me and i showed her the design which i wanted (plz see attached picture #1) and she said that she could make it but would be $15 extra. I had no issue with that. When she started doing my nails, first of all, she glued the “tips” in wrong direction, all tilting to the side, i complained about it and she said she can fix it when she files. She then asked me how short i want, i told her but she cut shorter and i said “you cut them too short, i had to get almond shape and you never asked me about that”. She showed me after filing , it was very short. She then started taking my glued nails off from one hand and left the other hand and i was already getting late to pick my mom from train station at 7 since it was already 6:40 She then started talking in her language with other colleagues and said “the other lady will help you since she is fast”. The other lady comes, start doing my nails and then showed my design to the other lady sitting next to her named “Eva”. She said “this design not possible, pick another”. I was like this is waste of time, i picked another design (see picture #2) she said she can do it but she was not able to. Then Eva said “it will be late for us, you just do regular gel, i said this is not fair since i have an event otherwise not an issue”. She then insisted on doing whatever she could and she just did. At the end, other hand tips were pointing to the side, she said they could fix it but would be short.

I left from there crying, after paying $75 and all the torture (look at the final product) Horrible. None of them had even a sense of apology. Simply horrible.

Respected owner, you better return my $75 for this torture.

Moreover, they used unclean tools, I am going to reach out to The New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) , I am not going to let it...

I’ve been looking for a nail salon with good customer service and thorough work for a long time close to my neighborhood and today I finally found it! The ladies at Golden One were absolutely amazing. I’ve had a pretty rough month and I decided to do something nice to make myself smile today after leaving the gym. I called Golden One and asked if they were able to take me today and I could be there in 15-20 minutes. She said sure and asked for my name. I told her JoJo because it’s always easier to spell and remember. But when I got there the ladies were so nice! They welcomed me by name! And remembered my name throughout the entire appointment. Lisa did my spa pedicure and she did an amazing job, she made sure I was comfortable, turned on the massager on the seat for me and she was so sweet the entire time. I would have fallen asleep if I could lol the foot massage was so needed. At the end of my pedicure she wrapped my feet and actually walked me over to the manicure table, making sure I was careful. My feet are the softest they have been in almost two years. Anna did my spa manicure. She was also very nice and cleaned up my cuticles that were long overdue for the attention. While my gel cured, she gave me a short but much needed and effective upper body massage. She then massage my hands and arms to complete the service. Nicole was also nice as well, not sure if she was the owner but she checked in on me often as I waited for Anna to finish up with her customer before me. It wasn’t even a long wait at all but I appreciated the attentiveness. Overall, this is probably the best experience I’ve ever had in a nail salon. I just wanted to let these ladies know how much they made my day and showed this exhausted toddler mom some well deserved and long overdue pampering. Thank you so much and I will absolutely...
