Riviera V Pizzeria — Restaurant in New York

I’ve been a loyal customer to this spot since the previous owner. At first the new owner was keeping up the standard of food quality, but it has changed a lot since then. Yesterday the owner said he fired the kitchen staff because they were drinking on the job. Unfortunately, the new kitchen staff dropped the ball on a $100+ order I had last night. One meal was completely missing from the order so we had to go back to restaurant to pick it up. There were other problems on top of that. We were given chicken wings instead of the chicken tenders we ordered. They replaced with tenders but the tenders were grossly inedible. We ordered baked ravioli but received ravioli with sauce on top, no cheese on it; it wasn’t baked. The dinners used to come with the pasta in the same sauce, but now they come with pasta on the side in tomato sauce. The two chicken dinners were extremely greasy and the chicken was like rubber. The food was poorly packed, with the metal trays with plastic lids smashed and leaking. The recipes have changed as well, and are not as good as they were. The owner did give us $30 back on the order, but it was still not worth what we paid for it. Plus they charge a large credit card convenience fee. We've eaten here a few times. Its great quality food, generous portions & they don't skimp on ingredients. Their calzones (plain cheese & chicken parm calzones) & rice ball are pretty amazing! I like that they add sesame seeds to the pizza crust and calzones that gives the crust an interesting taste & crunch. The salad that comes with the entrees is very fresh. They use romaine lettuce for the salads. The entrees we've had so far are spaghetti & meatballs, chicken francesa and linguini with white clam sauce. The chicken francesa hits the spot with the right amount of lemony flavor. We could not believe the size of the meatballs & the amount of pasta that completely fills up the entire plate. It can easily be shared with 2 people! For the sandwiches we've had the shrimp parmigiana hero. They give a decent amount of shrimps & use real mozerella cheese! The price is reasonable too! Is this spot new? I am the first review :) !! Well I must say- Wow....the WILD MAMA BASIL PIZZA and the WILD WINGS were absolutely delicious!! I placed an order last night on Postmates and took a chance and it was the best decision!! My husband and I enjoyed it so much. The pizza was so fresh! The dough was not too thick, there were tons of juicy plump tomatoes and savory red sauce , it was light on the cheese which we appreciate, tons of basil, drizzle of olive oil, I requested well done and it was! I believe the best grandma pizza I ever had!! The Wings were bangin!!!!!! I have zero complaints. So thankful I found this place, we will definitely be future customers.
