TERRIBLE! First, it was pouring rain out and when you come into the building there are no mats near the entrance.. however I did see some really gross, ripped and mashed up cardboard thrown down near another entrance. There was no one to help with ordering tickets from the kiosk. The line to purchase tickets from an agent was so long and there was very confusing signage that stated the line was for premier customers only. Once we got our tickets and went upstairs to get snacks, the entire lobby area was completely filthy. Trash and popcorn all over the floor. 2 employees standing around joking with each other and not cleaning. There were 3 very slow moving employees operating the snack bar with absolutely no sense of urgency. There was only 1 person in front of us and we waited over 10 minutes to be served. The counter itself was messy and dirty, napkins scattered on the counter, not even a box. The popcorn had no cover and was exposed to the open air. Popcorn everywhere. The hotdogs were also exposed to the open air, no covering whatsoever. I purchased popcorn and a soda.. we wanted other items but I am not exaggerating when I say we feared that there was unsanitary handling of the food. When we went to get our drinks the floor was sticky and wet, the ice machine portion didn’t work and the slushie counter was filthy... NO ONE WAS CLEANING ANYTHING! Butter counter for popcorn was also really filthy and covered in trash. We purchased our tickets shortly before the movie started so we unfortunately had to sit in the front row but it was so close and below the screen it was extremely difficult to see even with leaning your chair all the way back. I don’t understand why any seat should be that close to a movie screen. After the movie, I tried to go to the bathroom but it was closed so I had to go to the other side of the theater.. the bathroom smelled like pure waste and again, was completely filthy. Upon leaving, we were in shock of how long the snack line had gotten and noticed that the same amount of people from earlier were working. 3 people ringing up and making snacks for like 50 people waiting in line.
I’ve been to your other theaters such as ones in Manhattan and had to let you know. It was really disappointing especially since not only did we want to really enjoy the movie but with 2 tickets and 1 order of popcorn and soda and we spent $45 + tax! I’m really disappointed. Hopefully you guys can improve this location, though I definitely will never...
Read moreThe theater was ok. The seats reclined. The bathroom floors were sticky. The line for snacks was long. They wouldn't let us up to the top until super close to time for the movie to begin, but the line for snacks was super long. I waited for 45 minutes and was still only half way through the line. I had to leave the line so I wouldn't miss my movie. They had too few staff working AND the primeir line for the rich people was just annoying, especially when someone would be about to walk up to order after waiting probably an hour and someone would just walk onto the express line and the one waiting an hour would be sent back to even though they were already approaching. Why not let us up stairs to get snacks if the lines take so long? There were like 3 people working and any of the tellers or all of them would handle the rich people line. It'd be nice if the Express line maybe got 1 teller dedicated to them or something, but to have each one dedicated to them really sucks. And the line just never moved. I was actually willing to spend $10 on their popcorn to share with my family, but I ran out of time, and it wasn't worth missing the movie. They lost stars for not allowing us to go upstairs earlier especially since it cost us the ability to have snacks with our movie...and they wonder why people sneak in snacks. On a weekend, they should expect people to be at the movies and they should have workers, and if they don't, they should allow you to go upstairs early enough to wait in line and buy snacks since they already bought tickets. The seats weren't as nicely numbered as I would have liked. We had to do the wheelchair seats as they were the last seats to our movie, but the numbers were hard to see and some people were in our seats. It got squared away. They couldn't read the number and sat in the wrong spot, but found their correct seat after a lot of fumbling to see.
Overall not the best experience. Next time I guess I'll bring my own snacks since they don't let us upstairs with enough time to wait on line and get snacks. 45 minutes on line put me at 8:30 and my movie was at 8:15, and had I stayed longer, I wouldn't have caught the start...and I barely made it past half way from where I started, so I honestly don't know how long it would have taken to...
Read moreOne of the slowest and annoying AMC theatre! Will break it down to what i found most frustrating and the lastly the only two good thing at this location. 1. Long lines! Even during daytime there are long lines. Yes even members will experience long waiting lines and based on my close observation the line for members was longer then the regular line!? Yes. Slow staff. They only had 2 women working at the front. Overcrowded during daytime mind you, so going in early will only add to the headache and chaos. They also have no arcade area. 2. Waiting for Showtime. They do not let you go upstairs until 30mins before your movie starts. Hope you are seated on time of you are buying food and need to use the restroom. 3. Bathrooms are disgusting. They are not the worst i seen compared to gas stations but expect to see stains and no toilet paper. This is during daytime and not when it reaches peak hrs. All this was unacceptable and a disappointment. The odd orders from people who sit next to you did not help either. People, please don't perfume so much and shower if you know you are going to be sitting beside strangers for hrs in a close area like a theatre. This heavy scent was just giving me a headache. Now for the only 2 things I found were positive from this location were 1. Free parking. This is a huge plus because you don't need to worry about your at all. You can focus on the movie and not worry about paying a huge fee for the private parking lot of meter. 2. The seats. They were the best i have seen at a theatre. You know that clip before the movie starts where it shows people at the movies and showcase Coke? Those red cool seats ? Yeah expect those seats at this location. They recline back and can also lift your feet up. You are comfortable and have the best spot anywhere you sit for the screen. Final thoughts. Was it worth it ? I'm not sure because there were was to many negatives for me to consider coming back again. If they can clean up and have faster staff sure. Otherwise I would say reconsider and if i do find a better location with these positives will review it. I might give them another opportunity since this was my first time but considering it was not during typical busy times I am not impressed and disappointed with AMC theatres and staff at...
