This location needs better management... There are a few things I was unhappy about shopping here today. First, the products in the produce section were mislabeled and caused confusion about pricing... Fresh spinach placed in front of a kale label and pricing... I honestly did not even notice that it said Kale, maybe because the whole area was stocked with spinach and my brain just assumed that it said spinach... I was really paying attention to the prices and the ounces, to find the best deal... one price said 13.5 oz -3.99 , I see next to it the next price tag and it says 2.99, so I immediately look at the size and read 16oz... I chose the one with more for less,,, of course! I get to the cashier and it rings up 3.99, I assure her that it was marked 2.99 and I walked over with the price checker she called over to show him exactly where I saw it... We get there and he points out to me that it says Kale...Now, there is no Kale anywhere near sight or at all as a matter of fact! I actually wanted to purchase Kale... but they didn’t have any.... anyway, he brings me to the manager after I say they should honor the price... his name is Elija... I explain to him what happened and in stead of apologizing, honoring the price and removing the sign... he goes back and forth with me about how it was my fault because it said Kale on the tag...refuses to honor the price and then walked away without removing the tag that he sees now is completely wrong! My husband just paid the 3.99 but I would have have paid even more at a different location with correct placement and price tags....The produce section needs help Elija, it’s your job to make sure everything runs smoothly. Your store is poorly stocked and I had to really search hard for other produce items that didn’t look old and bruised... The floors in the store are extremely dirty, which is disgusting,,, especially for a grocery store... you didn’t have stock on staple items like kale and on top of that, this is on a Saturday afternoon which I assume is one of your most busy times so the store should be adequately stocked....won’t ever come...
Read moreI was there today and honestly I never write reviews but this one lady was just so rude and unprofessional I had to say something. Her name is Jackie I believe and from the beginning she was not trying to help my mother and I. My mom tried to explain to her that the phone number wasn’t working and Jackie just looked at us with an expression on her face that’s like “well what do you want me to do” my mom attempted to explain that she has the app and she always uses her number but Jackie clearly did not care she pressed a button and left us to figure it out alone. However what really pissed me off was when I went to her to tell her we wanted to purchase gift cards and she had an attitude and said well you can’t do it there and I told her I know which is why I came to her for her help and I asked if she could and then she said she could. I’ve worked in costumer service and never ever would I be so unpleasant, rude & make the expressions she was making. After the transaction Jackie starts shaking her head no, does not say a word just shaking her head. I’m confused as to why she won’t speak so my mother ask and she states something but her tone was so low I could not hear I ask her to speak up and she said something was wrong with the gift cards however they still charged my mothers cards. She then proceeds to send us to customer service LONG line saying she can’t help us here. Overall I suggest she work on her customer service skills as the constant face expressions she was giving us were uncalled for and honestly disturbing . Luckily the people at the costumer service place were very pleasant, it was just a fault gift card. She's literally the only employee at stop and shop I've ever had a problem with. Maybe she was having a bad day but when she comes to work she shouldn't take it out on the costumers....

I travel from another borough to shop for an elder in my family who lives nearby, and have had no issues with the previous staff that managed pick up orders. They were always nice, communicative, efficient and made responsible substitutions if items were out of stock . Recently, the past few times I've picked up, that has not been the case. During one visit, the lady who answered the phone was clearly unhappy and annoyed, I have no idea why. She asked for my name and said she would send someone right out. Then, I received another call from the packer saying she was actually just starting my order. I was cool. Two and a half hours later, I had to call them again and they finally sent someone out. Absolutely unacceptable! Also, I usually receive a call regarding substitutions, this time, no call and they chose the most expensive items and very different products (ie. I wanted pre-washed/cut kale (in the bag) and received collard greens, instead of them giving me fresh kale; I wanted a family pack of ground beef, they marked it "out of stock" instead of substituting it for two smaller packs of ground beef that was in stock, I wanted cherry tart juice that was 4 something, they gave me the one that was twice the price, instead of OceanSpray that was 5 something). Bc the wait was such an inconvenience, I decided to go in and check if they store was busy (it wasn't), I didn't see anyone exiting with other online orders, and I checked their product availability and took pics). My thing is if you hate your job or your employer... quit! Why purposely sabotage...
