Customer service is terrible! I ordered a mattress, which was a resale due to hating the original one I ordered, on the Wednesday before Memorial Day. They proclaim next day delivery but I asked for delivery on the Saturday. Sat around all day waiting, never came. I called that afternoon and rescheduled for Monday, even though I had plans for the holiday. Once again no call from the store. I called late morning to get an eta and they said they would check with delivery co. I should be getting it between 12-3 but the truck is behind. She said she would call to find out eta and get back to me but no one did. I spoke to a supervisor who told me that according to the records, someone called me sometime Sunday and told me delivery would be on Wednesday, May 31. I told her no one ever called me and I gladly show her my phone logs. Also, I would never have made delivery for that day seeing as I have to be at work for 10 hours that day. She apologized stating that as it turned out this mattress comes from the manufacturer and not the warehouse and it was not available until May 31. Which puts the whole statement of next day delivery out the window. It's been a huge inconvenience for me having to strip the bed twice make the bed twice expecting my mattress to be delivered and canceling plans all because the store said my mattress would be delivered. They said they would compensate me 60 bucks back on delivery and an additional $200 for my inconvenience. The supervisor told me to call her on Friday to let her know when I would want delivery on the weekend. I told her I wouldn't know until Friday afternoon if I could get coverage at my job on Saturday. I called the store at 5 o'clock to let them know I could take delivery on Saturday. I asked to speak to the supervisor who told me to call her before 8 o'clock she was too busy to get to the phone. I waited until 630 and called the store again. Once again, she was too busy to get to the phone. I set up delivery with the customer service girl for Saturday and asked her how would I get an ETA saying it's this late and would they definitely be delivering for tomorrow. She said yes probably between eight and four but they could not give me a definite time because it was just going to be set up with the delivery department now. I'm totally disgusted with the store as a whole. Customer service doesn't seem to take you seriously. Supervisors pick and choose when they want to deal with you. When it's something that is clearly their mistake and there lack of communication with themselves and the customers. I will not recommend the Store in Bay Plaza and I'm even seriously considering not dealing with Raymour & Flanigan again. I ordered two beds and something else. The bed that I tried in the store was totally different than the ones I got. One felt more like a water bed and when you sit on it, you literally sink down so much and the sides got bunched up. Then again, maybe the water bed would have felt better than this one. The other bed is so so so uncomfortable. Upon contacting the store, they insisted that I got the right product and nothing was wrong with it. Their customer service was not helpful much. Upon eventually sending out a technicians, the technician complained that their product is filled with a lot of sponge and its no good. Although he realized that the thing was faulty and told me, he wrote that nothing was wrong with it, the customer is just a complainer. Another item I purchased came broken and busted up and although they send the technician out, they still did not fix it properly. They refused to replace the broken item. After much struggle and a lot of back and forth, they eventually replaced one matress, but it was still faulty and still not comfortable. The other uncomfortable mattress, I am still trying to adjust to it because I may just get something else worst than what I paid for. In addition, they promised that they would remove the old mattress. When the delivery people came, they take the mattress and place it in a section of the house. They refuse to even take it outside. They said that it's not a part of their job description to take the old mattress away especially if it has stains on it. My mattress had a water mark because a family member accidentally spilled water on it. We gave them a tip to take the mattress outside. They insisted that I cover it myself and add it during my garbage collection. I am so frustrated and disappointed dealing with them. The delivery guys said they didn't know what happened to the other mattress and that I would have to call the store. I called the store and they said the mattress was lost, but they would find it and deliver it. So I set up a new delivery date and time, and stayed home for the delivery. No one came, no one called.
I called the store and they said call the warehouse. I called the warehouse in CT and spoke with Mike. Mike said the mattress was misplaced and that I would have to call the store. I called Ian he told me he would call me back with a plan, he called to say he still didn't know what to do, but would call again. He never called again with a plan. I called the Co-op store which is where I purchased and spoke to the assistant manager Patricia. Patricia apologized and said she would get the mattress out to me that week Wednesday. Delivery never came.
I called the Co-op store and spoke to Oz. I told Oz to cancel the order, I just wanted a refund. He said the refund would take 1-2 days to post. I checked my credit card statement 1 week later and the money still had not been refunded. I called the store again and spoke with Allison. They wouldn't let me speak to Oz. Allison said she was sorry and that the refund would be expedited. That was 10 days ago. Still nothing.
All in all, I have spent more than 4 days waiting for deliveries that never came. I have made 12-15 phone calls. I am still in the hole nearly $900 for merchandise that never arrived, and I still can't get anyone to actually take accountability and correct their many many mistakes.
At this point, I'm going to have to submit a claim through my credit card to get my money back from them.
Stay away from Raymour & Flanigan. This is clearly a poorly run company that steals time and money from honest people. I can't believe what a ridiculous process this has been.
