Big Bush Playground has great potential, but it’s becoming increasingly filthy, especially on weekends. There’s often trash and food scraps scattered all over the ground, and the smell of urine is noticeable due to men urinating behind trees. This is not only unsanitary but also very unpleasant for families and children visiting the park.

The situation worsens on Sundays, when large groups particularly some Latino gatherings host loud parties with open alcohol, barbecues, and blasting music that often continues late into the night. There’s little regard for nearby homes or the community. By Monday morning, the park is left in terrible condition: piles of trash, leftover food, broken glass bottles, and debris especially along Laurel Hill Blvd.

Everyone has the right to enjoy the park, but it’s essential to show respect for the space and the surrounding neighborhood. This park is a shared public area, and we all need to take responsibility in keeping it clean, safe, and enjoyable...

I want to show how terrible this "turf" field has become. Over the last 9 months i have been coming to this field 2 times each 3 weeks. And there are Soccer academies here that hold regular practice for children ages 5 & up. My concern is on the maintance of this field as it has been left off to no proper maintance. We are dealing with: Bums sleeping in the field Garbage around created by vendors who sell their food every saturday during a soccer tournament. Weed odor during daylight hours that even the children can smell it. Cracks or openings in the field, as you can see in the photos. Small rocks around, this causes children to play with them. Turf is a rough carpet. Try to fall on your knees here and youll get a bruise.

Parks Department, please re-do this park, its a community place where healthy sports come to perform and the field doesnt do much...

Nov, 6, 2019 This park hasn't been redone. Look at the pictures, some parts are coming off. The "TURF" IS A CARPET! that gets on your shoes, when kids fall, their knees gets scrapped, some players eveb use cleats... on a carpet that feels like concrete.

The city must be taking care of their parks, more children, teenagers and adults need to do sports but on a good field.

This park had rocks by the edged which is now covered by a nice turf, so they get to cover it with a beautiful turf but leave the rest as it ?

As a regular user, i am tired of how some parks look like. Bad conditions, terrible turf.

Hopefully in the future the city can notice it and renew it completely, just like they did...
