PLEASE READ THIS THOROUGHLY!
I was staying only one night with my partner she came from virginia, unfortunately every other hotel was booked, We came to a compromise to stay at Queens Hotel, it seemed nice and comfortable, it was conveniently close to the area we wanted to visit in NY..
The moment we checked in, The gentlemen in the front desk was so rude to us. We greeted him, we reserved the room, He was NOT welcoming
My partner and i decided to overlook it He probably wasn’t having a great day which we know can happen, We dropped our things off inside the room, started getting ready to head out We didn’t spend much time in the room till we got back at 4am from a long night of dancing, as a regular couple, you come back drunk and have sexual relations with your partner, Unfortunately i was wearing makeup that night and it went on the sheets to the bed, which you cant really see much of it, the next morning, we are getting ready to leave before 12pm
The gentleman tells my partner we CANNOT leave/checkout till they check the room for any “damaged property” We waited about 30minutes before we were unable to leave, This part gets interesting....
He comes in while we are inside the room, looks on the bed and asks what that is, we told him it was makeup, he asked why is it there, why did we dirty the sheets, then takes pictures of the makeup on the sheets, and tells us it will cost us $50 to clean those sheets and if we can’t we have to grab the sheets and walk across the street to wash it ourselves, (We assumed they don’t wash the sheets in this hotel after every stay) unbelievable, we asked why he was being so rude to us and said exactly this “Shut Up kids”
He was Extremely rude, we asked for a supervisor, he was “the supervisor” After telling us a few minutes before he works for front desk only, i felt unwelcome during this stay, My feelings were hurt especially when we are paying to be there My partner and i are a lesbian couple We felt that he was discriminating us the moment he seen us together walking in holding hands, my partner is not from NYC, she is from Virginia, she felt so uncomfortable and thats not what i wanted her to experience in New York We are about equality, we have great jobs my partner works with the government on a military base, I work in Hospital in Brooklyn. We maybe “young” 27 years of age But we didn’t deserve this treatment
He wasn’t apologetic We were offended
On top of everything we didn’t even complain about there being NO SOAP NO SHAMPOO NO HAND TOWELS ONE TOWEL NO IRON
WE HAD TO ASK FOR EVERYTHING
Please reconsider this place I’m a Latina female, Citizen of the US This was poor service and they lack of respect, i will never go back nor will i ever recommend anyone to stay here
I provided a photograph showing the makeup on the bed. Let’s be realistic, you can hardly see it Isn’t it sanitary to wash the sheets after every stay?
I hope you took that time to read this and think it through, unfortunately we weren’t expecting this but we...
Read moreThis place was the most dirty, trifling, unwelcoming, & skin-crawling hotel I have ever stayed at. The front desk was unwelcoming and didn't seem to care for anything. After we checked in, we go to the room 401 and not even five minutes later we saw a huge horsefly/beetle thing bug in the bathroom. Disgusted, I called the front desk and asked if this can be fixed and then I received the one and only best hospitality out of her the again girl when she changed our room.
Unbeknownst to us, the new room (405), was even worse. We noticed the walls were dirty and the tv didn't work but that not even the worst of it. We left later to go explore NY and came back around 10ish last night. Slowly we saw more and more bugs. It started with one bed bug, then seeing a spider, then over the course of like an hour we saw even more bed bugs, another spider, and then to top it off a roach. We ended up taking photo and video footage of the bugs so they couldn't say we were lying or anything. Of course at this point of trying to being gracious I gave up and got up out of there. It was incredibly inhabitable like it was almost their goal or something.
We ended up walking down to the newer hotel across the street by the dominos close to midnight in pjs disappointed and angry due to the situation and even told them about and they ended up accommodating us and giving us a discount and was around the same price as this hotel. I had to doing laundry until 2 in the morning worried that our clothes probably was nested in by bed bugs or roaches we didn't even see.
. We eventually discovered that clearly some of the reviews on here must be fake due to us being bamboozled and others have tried to say something as well about it.And they rent by the hour so you can already assume what was probably going on in there. And to top it off, we tried to get a refund or a discount or something due to the traumatizing experience. But of course, we got no help and we got a finger point to an email to the manager that I'm sure is not going to help us at all.
I usually don't ever do google reviews so for me to even post this is saying something. DO NOT STAY HERE. I would give this place a 0 star if I could. They should be ashamed of...
Read moreTerrible terrible stay experience! From the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the hotel customer service, everyone was super unprofessional. There were several things that really made me so so so uncomfortable: I noticed the body wash in my room was almost empty, and there was only shampoo, no conditioner. So I asked the front desk if they could send me some body wash and conditioner. They said yes, but I waited a long time and nothing came. I called again to follow up, and then an old man came to my door and started knocking like crazy. What made it worse was that he told me they don’t provide any conditioner, and that shampoo and body wash are the same thing! I couldn’t believe what I saw. He literally poured a big bottle labeled “body wash” into the shampoo container. I get that some products can be 2-in-1, but shouldn't you at least tell that to your guests? Otherwise why u provide two containers written as ‘body wash’ and ‘shampoo’ ? It was just ridiculous!
Also, In the morning, I was sitting in the lobby waiting for my Uber. A cleaning lady was mopping the floor, then she asked me to lift my legs so she could mop under the couch where I was sitting—I was uncomfortable about that, and after that, she even asked me to stand up so she could move the whole couch back! I couldn’t believe it! I’ve never experienced anything like this in any hotel before. The room wasn’t even properly cleaned. I could still see some dirt and hair. And about the breakfast, Honestly, they might rather not offer it. It’s just some coffee, bread, milk, and cereal. The coffee was so watery — it tasted like someone reused the same coffee grounds five times. It was basically just brown-tinted water. Do not stay here! I really regret booking this place....
