Canarsie Park is awesome. I grew up in this neighborhood and watched this park evolve into what it is today. I couldn't be happier, watching my community come to the park to exercise and get healthy.

One downside is the people who choose to speed down Seaview. Someone is going to get hurt and it bothers me that it might be a child. Also, the improvements of the park has had unintended consequences in the area of parking.

There's no parking for the people who actually live in the neighborhood. It would be great if the city would limit parking on the residential streets, to residents only. I, and my family have received parking tickets because we've been forced to park somewhere else because there's nothing available in front of our house or on our block.

Finally, during the evening it can get noisy. Most summer weekends people hold parties and other events, sadly they bring professional music equipment that is extremely disruptive. A music cut off or a noise restriction would be great.

These sounds like downers, I know, but come to Canarsie Park at any time and you're going to get exercise in, people are motivating at one point I dropped 30lbs just walking this park. I hope to do it again in the...

Family-friendly park with a playground and a skate park. Great place to throw any event.

Heads up: The Park Police will ask for your music & day permit. Get it b4 your event, I believe it's free or under $50. Get there early and secure your space. Ppl are very respectful of other spaces already tied down, so yes, you can leave and come back.

Drivers: Don't drive down Seaview Road honking and pissed about the two lane traffic turned into one due to the double park cars on the streets & sidewalks.

Park goers: The friendly cops will warn you multiple times prior to giving you a ticket. And, you're probably thinking, "They can't ticket everyone. "And you're right, but if they do, don't be giving the Canarsie Park Popo any problems. They're just...

Canarsie Park is amazing! I love the track for power walking (others jog or ride bikes) . I especially love the path to Canarsie pier I've seen rabbits parakeets and a host of other birds there. The spots along the path under the bridge is kinda like a private little beach, lovely for some quiet time alone! If you like to work out and don't have gym access, you can walk up in the hills there are gym stations placed throughout the path up there. There are also wonderful picnic grounds there and its often full, you have to come out super early and leave someone there to hold your spot. is also It's really beautiful before dark. I've heard that nefarious things go on in there after dark so I stay away at night! Other wise its a...

I had so much to remember about my visit to the park. The visit wasn't for recreation, it was for the repass of the late Henry Arthur McLaurin Brathwaite. My sister had individual prepared meals and fruits served at our family occasion. I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet, spacious atmosphere of the park. The park staff paid our tables a visit multiple times to accommodate us. They gave us trash bags to dispose of and litter we may have chosen to discard.. Overall, the park was very enjoyable. I personally recommend it to all who are looking for a good place to get away from the normal hustle and bustle of life.

Canaries park is full of lush bushes trees and different kinds of wild flowers. There's a skate park and not 1 but 2 playgrounds. 1 on each end of the park for your children to enjoy. A designated area for baseball and another where you can find people playing cricket or soccer every Sunday. A basketball court, and a track where you can jog, race or go for a healthy paced walk. And if your feeling adventurous you can go on the trail that takes you under the BQE to Canarsrie peer or walk further and visit Shirley Chisholm State Park. So stop by bring your tents & grills and enjoy nature.
