I’m Guyanese, but I absolutely adore food and culture. I love the language, the food, and after every restaurant I visit, I’m always treated poorly
when I inquire about the cuisine. So, when I read great reviews about this restaurant, I was a bit hesitant to go in. I was afraid i might insult me because I don’t speak the language. But to my surprise, she greeted me warmly and asked, “Hello, baby! How can I help you?” behind her it’s a portrait of her loving husband. That has passed away.
I was instantly captivated and didn’t even taste the food. The kindness she showed me made me realize that this place is a haven where food is made with love. Even though I don’t speak the language,
she always greets me with warmth and affection, calling me “hello, baby.” I visit this restaurant on my saddest days. I crave comfort in a delicious home cooked meal and love also, is delicious delicious delicious This beautiful lady is incredibly kind and welcoming. She always greets me with a warm “hello, baby” and expresses her love and passion for her deceased husband through every dish they make The taste of food shows me that true love does exist and God is faithful in everything and every...
Read moreThe food here gets 4-5 stars (depending on what you order, and that you actually get that).
Customer service is okay in person, but not so on the phone. There seems to be an insufficient number of people working there, so the lady who answers is very brusk on the phone - which forces you to just place orders in person. When you're there, its a whole new experience.
They seem to have a dedicated clientele, so the wait is always long.
The physical location gets three stars. It's apparent that they're trying to make a nice place out of it, but minor details are their ruin. The lighting is flimsy. The menu is amateurish - a plain, no-frills printout from a basic home printer -- very likely created by the owner's child. (I understand the necessity of keeping costs down, but if you're just printing out menus and posted signs, at least have the decency to replace them when there's an error and when the paper's experienced lots of wear-and-tear. It's not at all difficult or expensive.)
Although, if you were to compare this location to the hole-in-the-wall where they were before, this is definitely five-star...
Read moreMy God, words aren't enough to explain how rude they are, their customer service is trash. EVERY TIME I go there I never even get a chance to order because they're soooooo rude and give you no time to order. Not too long ago I went to "La Tranquilite" asked if they have soup they said "se pa McDonald's wap order non madanm order saw bezwen an mgen lot moun nan ligne lan" SO RUDE. Today I went there and they had a note on the window saying "don't ask what we have just order what you want because we have everything" in creole; then I asked for a "jus corosol" they said "pa gen tan pou moun fe korosol la tout moun okipe deye a" and they asked the man behind me what he wanted, completely ignored me. YOU PEOPLE NEED MANNERS SERIOUSLY because that behavior is only dragging your customers away I already told my family and friends about y'all trust me I know a lotttt of people and they always ask me questions since I post almost everything I eat on the social media. Act like you run a...
