Tropix — Restaurant in City of Rochester

Tropix hosted my daughters graduation party. The kids had an amazing time. The food was overboard. There was anything a teen could ask for from comfort food to bistro food. The bartender made frozen drinks and mocktails at the outdoor tiki bar while the owner helped the kids run the music and light show. They played right from their phone playlists and he loaded matching video on the large screens. They were so accommodating. From the host perspective this was the easiest party ever. They did it all. My son already asked if the owner would do it for him next year. They had such a great time I think I will be hosting a business conference here. The av they have will really be great and the tiki bar will be great for networking over cocktails. The courtyard even has space for vendor tables. A unique space for something different. Went to see a band and celebrate my cousins birthday. The music was good but other than that the place was complete crap. This is the first bar I've ever been to that runs a 50 dollar charge on my card just to open a tab. If you're that worried just hold the card till I cash out, they had enough big "scary" guys standing around to make sure no one ran out on a tab, we are grown people and my tattoos on my body cost more than your pretty car so stop judging people. Im always happy to spend a good amount of my money and tip the staff more than a generous amount when i go somewhere to have a good time but Im not exaggerating one bit when i say my bar tab was 65 dollars for 9 bottles of beer. We came for the Bob Seeger cover band, Brave Strangers. Pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and drink prices as some reviews were unkind. The staff were nice and accommodating.
