During my recent visit to New York, I stopped by the Cherry Valley Marketplace on Webster Avenue and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed by this supermarket.
First and foremost, the store was incredibly clean and well-organized, which made for a pleasant shopping experience. Additionally, I found the layout to be very convenient, with everything I needed easily accessible and easy to find. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which made for a great overall shopping experience.
One thing that I particularly appreciated about the Cherry Valley Marketplace was the variety of cooked foods on offer. It was great to be able to pick up a quick and tasty meal while I was shopping, and the quality of the food was impressive. I tried some of the chicken cutlets and found them to be very fresh and flavorful.
Speaking of fresh, I was really impressed by the quality of the meat on offer at the Cherry Valley Marketplace. The chicken cutlets that I picked up were just one example of the high-quality meat available in the store. It was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into selecting the products on offer.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Cherry Valley Marketplace on Webster Avenue to anyone in the area. With its clean and convenient layout, friendly staff, and impressive selection of food, it's a great supermarket that I would definitely...
Read moreLet's start with what's good about this cherry valley: it's open 24 hours, good selection of produce and meats, and for the most part clean - just had one instance of mold on the lid of pudding.
However, no one there besides 1 cashier and the manger speaks English. The cashier had to ask a customer to translate and she barely could speak English herself - but I appreciate that she tried. When I asked around for someone who does, some of them were offended. So they expect the English speaking customers to not have any questions or concerns? Maybe have your cashiers and employees take some English as a second language classes. It wouldn't hurt to know some basic words. Do not leave your English speaking customers stranded.
Another thing, the cashiers lack basic customer service skills. None of them back bags. The men who usually bag the groceries would just stand there looking at you while you, or talk to the cashier as pack your own stuff. If there's no bagger available, the cashier will stand there and WATCH you, with a sour look, pack your stuff. They make it so obvious what they are doing. It's sad. I understand people can be tired, quiet, etc., but some behavior is unacceptable and customer service is the hallmark of any business. If the employees act this way, it starts...
Read moreCherry Valley has all you need at a grocery store. Different types of fish, clams, king crab legs, beer, detergents, soaps etc. Nice helpful staff. They recently started selling fresh coffee right in front of the store. So when you walk in you get that smell. At least 10 to 15 big bags of coffee beans. You put them in the grinder yourself. Great store that has been there for the neighborhood all throughout this pandemic. Making sure they have kept in stock the necessities including lysol and masks. 5 stars!!!!!! Open 24x7. You lost a star today. I purchased Romaine lettuce today and it was rotten. Is anyone actually looking at the romaine lettuce or any other fresh greens that arrive? I know that I will inspect it before purchasing from now on!!! LOOK AT THE PICTURE!!! Well, that's not all!!!! Today 5-2-2024 I stopped by your brand new store. I got some mixed shrimp with other things from your self serve buffet. The shrimp was not edible ! It was chewy and water logged. I couldn't stick a fork in it. Unbelievable!! Check for freshness before you serve garbage like that ! Yes, garbage. When shrimp is like that, it belongs in the...
