Spring in New York City is #UnbelievablyGood for my mental health - truly one of my favorite times to be in the city! 🌸🌸 My mental health really benefits from the post winter joy in the city, long walks under the blossoming trees 🚶‍♀️, coffee outdoors at a pretty cafe ☕️, picnics in the park with my toddler 🧺 (listing some of my favorite parks at the end of the caption!), and of course, regular sessions with my therapist! Quality access to mental healthcare has been crucial for my recovery from postpartum anxiety, OCD and depression, but it’s so tough to find good insurance coverage for it. I’m proud to partner with @metroplushealth to spread the message about their mission to bring accessible health care to all New Yorkers. Their Essential Plan has $0 premiums and copays - even for mental health! $0 benefits depend on plan eligibility. Other limits may apply. Get the facts about $0 health care via the link in my bio. #ad . 🌸 Oh and some of my favorite parks in the city are 🌸 1. Central Park (of course!) - walking around in Central Park truly feels like a movie scene sometimes - the Kwanzan cherry blossoms are blooming west of the reservoir right now (enter W 86th St and Central Park West), perfect for a picnic 🧺 ! 2. St Lukes in the Field - this is such a pretty and tranquil secret garden in the West Village, I especially love going there in early summer when the roses are in bloom 🌹 3. West Side Community Garden - I love going there with a book, and the tulips in the Spring are just gorgeous🌷 4. Brooklyn Heights Promenade - such a lovely walk over the river with stunning Manhattan views 🌇 5. Cobble Hill Park - a neighborhood gem next to some very pretty houses, perfect in the Spring! 🌸 . . . . #springinnyc #springinnewyork #theprettycities #prettycitynewyork #mysecretnyc #mentalhealthawareness #onlyinnewyork #streetsofnyc #streetsofnewyork

Cute little park in a cute little neighborhood. Nice place to enjoy some coffee and a pastry. It feels very much like an enclave, like you only come here if you have a sufficient amount of privilege in your life.

Nice quaint little park. Great place to relax, read, or journal. My only complaint was the ridiculous amount of people there on a midday Monday. Don't these people work?

Lots of seating (both in gross terms and relative to the neighborhood population) -- something sorely lacking in many of the city's parks. Otherwise undistinguished. The only grassy area / lawn is roped off by chains. It's fairly small. No notable sculptures or other installations. It's more plaza than park; more like a lower Manhattan patch of bricks (see Zucotti "Park") than a refuge...

Cobble Hill park like every other park in Brooklyn. You feel that it is quiet after the Pandemic, people come here to walk or run or just have a quiet time. Most people are wearing masks and keep social distancing. If you have some time you should go visit and enjoy a walk. But to be honest there are other amazing places to figure it out in the Island and you can enjoy a...

The playing structures are too old and there are too many openings without gates. My twins ran out of the park twice. The little lawn in the middle is nice, but it slants down which makes the little ones tumble down and hit the cement below (which did happen to one of the twins). I wouldn't recommend for children's recreation, maybe more for adults. It is beautiful...
