Having had the pleasure to discover and witness the opening of this studio, I truly believe more art studios like Ko Art Studio should be in various neighborhoods. The artistic mindframe behind the cultivation of an environmentally cautious art making process allowed the CEO to create programs with an impact. The message behind his artwork really makes you consider how we engage with the art making process. The careful consideration taken to construct classes/programs that even allow anyone who has never picked up a paintbrush to still get an emmersive experience is welcoming. I highly recommend taking a class so you can witness firsthand the positive impacts of the studio. This is definitely the kind of artsy group activity people should explore more. A larger benefit is the portfolio evaluations and consultation you can also receive if you're a more advanced artist seeking a mentor or guidance. To say that we gush about Ko Studio is an understatement. It is everything you want from an art space. Our daughter has been taking classes here for a few months now, and she just adores it. The community of kids is great, the Ko Studio team is unbeatable--she loves working with everyone there (Will, Lok, etc. are mentors in more than just drawing, but in life!). It is just perfection in every way, and they are so great at teaching ACTUAL art technical skills when the kids are age appropriate without doing away with creativity. Long overdue praise for the wonderful people at Ko Art Studio in Brooklyn! I can't say enough about how wonderful they are. I placed 2 of my children in art camp for an entire week. They were well taken care of, exposed to different art mediums, and encouraged in their choice of artworks. I wish we could've had them in camp for more weeks, but we had a busy summer and filled their time with many activities throughout--this was just one of the best weeks they had, especially our son!
