CreativeKids Art Studio — Attraction in New York

My wife and I had been searching for an arts class for our 8-year old daughter, who had never taken art classes outside of her grade school. We visited some places until a family friend recommended a small studio called CreativeKids Art Studio, taught by Olga. Our friend’s daughter goes there and she recommended it. So we tried it. That was over a month ago; we signed her up for weekly lessons after a trial lesson. Our daughter loves the lessons. It’s obvious that Olga is very good and patient with kids. It’s a small classroom setting, so our daughter and the other students - all of whom seem to be in grade school - receive individualized attention. The sessions are just the right length (about an hour) and after each lesson our daughter brings home her art piece to show us: the pictures are very good. Our daughter is not becoming a professional overnight but it’s obvious that Olga is teaching her proper techniques and perspective to create art. This is so much more than what she would receive at, for example, her school. The price per lesson is affordable, and it comes with art supplies (other studios force parents to buy their own materials). We couldn’t be more happy with our choice to enroll our daughter here. My 4 year old has been going to Olga’s art class for a few weeks now and really enjoys it! I didn’t want her to go to a rigid art school, but I also didn’t want her to just scribble. I wanted her to learn and have some sort of direction. Olga will draw the main point of the picture and then teach my child how to use different techniques and add onto the picture to make it her own. My daughter was drawing at home and drew a palm tree all by herself with a sunset in the background which I know she learned from Olga’s class. She’s very nice and patient with the kids and my daughter can’t wait to go every week....

My daughter absolutely loves her painting class! The studio is always spotless and well-organized, which makes for such a welcoming environment.
