We had LUNCH here on 9/14/2024. Do they serve food? answer No it's easy enough to pick up a sandwich or a wrap at Trader Joe's, make sure you stop by the free samples they're giving because you might need a fork if you picked up a salad and something to drink there and then come and sit and enjoy and relax. The weather was absolutely wonderful a nice breeze was in the 70s. So we have made this a precursor to any visit to Trader Joe's when the temperature is appropriate. There are also people playing chess and it looks like backgammon I only saw this as we were leaving after our lunch and our visit to Trader Joe's in an Uber and that's what was going on. Lots of squirrels and pigeons, lots of people walking their dogs, they saw a wonderful grandfather and his granddaughter sit and eat some oranges and throw the peels out I know it's...

This park is on Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills, Queens. It's near the 71st Street Subway Station. Parking is difficult to find right around the park. You may need to go a few blocks away to park. The park is generally clean. There are permanent chess tables that are heavily used. A new sculpture was just added to the park on the Yellowstone Avenue side. Besides being a cute sculpture, it is a good place landmark to say you will meet people there.

As other reviews have stated, there are some drug dealers and other lowlifes in the park. However, they mainly keep to themselves. Crime statistics suggest that the...

Living just across the street from this park, I often forget it's there, but it's really a nice, well laid-out piece of urban green space that feels a bit bigger than it is when you're walking in it. The walkways loop around, and many benches are spaced well apart, making it feel less crowded. Only the circular plaza at the center is a relatively large clear space with tables all around, often attracting chess players. It is usually tidy and well-kept. Many people use it as a thoroughfare and don't linger; If I'm walking along Queens Blvd by it, I will always walk along or through it to enjoy a...

MacDonald Park in Forest Hills, Queens is a charming, well-kept green space that offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle of city life. Though small, it’s clean, quiet, and perfect for a quick break, a walk, or catching up with friends. The park features benches, shaded areas, a modest playground for kids, and a strong community vibe, often frequented by dog-walkers, families, and locals of all ages. Its convenient location near Queens Boulevard makes it a great spot to relax after shopping or grabbing coffee.

Bucolic Park across the street the historic Forest Hills community Center synagogue, The heartbeat of my neighborhood, you will find the older population playing chess And on Sundays performing Tai chi throughout the entire park making it feel electric and alive. Especially nice with the Sunday street fairs selling fruits and vegetables, Right across queens blvd you have the historic beautiful Ridgewood Savings Bank, which is 83 years old. And there is a planet fitness right behind the park. Sweet location.
