This is my first experience ever to have storage. I went online, call the CSR they assisted me. Price fluctuate every week, the managers, everybody are managers over there apparently, can not change current reservation pricing to newer one, so I had to cancel and made another one. No big deal. My experience when I got there:
I was helped by Glen, took his time, showed me what I needed to see, made sure everything will go smooth, I lucked out near by elevator. I made sure with Glen I want the specific unit and I don’t want any drama, he made sure of that.
On the day of moving, Glen was off, but he said his team there. Shayne, Its Thursday, 7/18, Ive told him I might need extra storage, heads up, made the reservation for it, and he showed me the weird angle of 5 x 7.5 and 5 x 5.
3.God send happened, Samuel Levy, I gave him heads up my moving process that I wont be done in time of closing of access code, I begged him to let me finish to store my belonging with my movers, not much left, we did, then we need more storage, it happened, yes, system already closed, I know after hours and everybody want to go home, it is a process, Ive been through a lot, divorce, sold the apartment, moving, hire movers for the first time, and storing my stuffs for the first time. I guess workers there seeing a lot they just train to be angels? Anyway, he helped me, he made sure that Im ok, offered me water etc, he showed me proper options of cubes, and let me finish and store my abundant stuffs. I really appreciate Samuel Levy, he is an asset to your company.
The facility is clean, well lit, climate control, I feel comfortable, bunch of carts etc, price is very competitive.

First point of interaction was the manager, Sam Levy, very professional and KNOW how to explain the way a storage system works with specific details and all answers to your questions. He talks to you with professionalism and respect. You can tell he knows the business in and out and he goes above and beyond to help you with every question. He explains the rules clearly and all the steps of the service/s before you even sign up for a storage unit. NO STRING ATTACHED. All clear and straight to the point.
My tour experience: very organized, great layout, high tech security, air conditioned floors, clean high tech elevator with access code, very easy to get around and three long lanes on loading dock good for three big rental trucks / SUV's and can fit up to 6 cars. A lot of useful equipment that makes your move from the loading dock to storage unit so easy and effortless. Very convenient location because it is less busy than high transit areas such as Flushing or Astoria. Going back, customer service is everything for me and the manager, Sam does a great job in representing CubeSmart and you can tell he cares. If you are a new customer like me you will be happy to deal with such a great manager and I'm sure the rest of the staff are phenomenal as well. The vibe is great so if you are drained with a moving out of your apartment/house experience..this is the answer, the relief and it's well worth their prices so you can focus your time and energy on the most important things in your...
Read moreOnce you get the hang of things… this location is great. Keep in mind all storage facilities raise their prices within a few months. Some of us know but a LOT of us don’t. It would be helpful if we were told when signing up for a unit. Just a thought.
Furthermore, This store location closes early and is hard to navigate around our work schedules. I understand the issue with having to evict tenants therefore for moving the times up. But what about allowing one “late” day a week? To accommodate those of us who get off at 5pm? Outside of the hours of operation the storage facility is clean, staff are helpful nice and always greet you with a positive attitude and smile.
My favorite though is Regina… I was having a hard time and would pay my bill late often. Regina showed patience went above and beyond by leaving voicemails as a reminder for me and calling multiple times before a late fee is schedule to be added. Regina does NOT have to do that. I’ll assume one courtesy call is enough. But because of her she saved me lots of fees. I will always thank her every time I see her ☺️. I was upset with the increase in my rate every 6 months but I understand it’s in contract and all of the storage facilities do it. But it goes a long way to have employees like Regina who has the patience to explain it to you.
