Whenever I fly out of JFK, the Amex Centurion Lounge in Terminal 4 is my go-to spot. This place is a game-changer in the world of airport lounges, and here’s why I keep coming back.

First things first, this lounge is huge—spread out over three floors, giving you tons of seating options. Whether I’m looking to hunker down and get some work done or just relax and watch planes take off, there’s a perfect spot for every need. It never feels crowded, which is a huge plus.

The bar might look small, but don’t let its size fool you. The service is lightning fast, and the bartenders whip up some incredible drinks that make the wait (if any) totally worth it. On my last visit, I was blown away by the food. The chef had some special dishes on offer, including fresh lobster tails that were out of this world. It’s not every day you get to snack on lobster tails at an airport!

Then there’s ā€˜Blue Roast’, the coffee shop within the lounge. It's amazing, with a selection that goes way beyond standard coffee fare. We're talking smoothies, a variety of coffee drinks, tasty charcuterie, and delicious baked goods. It’s the perfect pick-me-up before a long flight.

And I can’t forget about the speakeasy. It’s this cozy little spot hidden away in the lounge, perfect for escaping the usual airport noise and enjoying a unique cocktail in a more intimate setting.

Thanks to my Amex Business Reserve and Delta Amex Platinum personal cards, I get to enjoy this lounge, and it really makes traveling through JFK a much more pleasant experience. Whether you need a quiet place to work or just want to kick back and start your trip off right, the Amex Centurion Lounge at Terminal 4 is the place to be. It’s not just a lounge; it’s a retreat that makes you forget you’re...

On March 19, I was most disappointed with the American Express lounge in Terminal 4 of JFK for all the time I have been using this card and lounges everywhere I travel...(( I came in exhausted, stressed and wanted to go to the restroom, the only thing that made me happy was the prospect of sitting in the beautiful Amex lounge. I arrived at 3.25pm and my flight was at 6.50pm. The gate closes at 6.30pm, so I planned to leave the gate at 6.00pm. I had to sit and relax after a hard and stressful day before a hard and long flight with a layover of 2 hours and 30 minutes. I gave the woman at the front desk my passport, Amex card and boarding pass, but she did not let me into the lounge because my flight was at 6.50, which is more than 3 hours before departure. My argument that the gate closes at 6.30 and I have to leave the lounge at 6.00 and sit here for 2 hours and 30 minutes was not interesting to her. When asked where I should wait for 25 minutes, she said she didn't know. Well, that's funny, I didn't know either( I travel quite a bit, I visited Amex lounges in many airports and in none of them I was so rudely let in because I had more than 3 hours before departure??? And this service costs $ 700 credit card service and 3-4K$ of interest per year on my card balance? I went to another lounge of some Indian company on Priority Pass and sat there until my departure (no one kicked me out because my flight was in more than 3 hours ..... I pay $100 for Priority vs. $4000-5000 (all together) for Amex.... I don't know what to say. Maybe I should buy a calculator to do...

I visited the lounge on February 28th, Friday morning. I had heard great things about it, and I think they lived up to the hype. The hot breakfast was delicious, and they even started serving lunch while I was there, so I got to try both breakfast and lunch.

One of the coolest things about the lounge is the cafe and bar area. They have freshly made pastries and croissants that are buttery and crispy, and they also have a juice shot and chia seed pudding. The baristas make a fancy espresso drink with latte art, which was a hit with me since I’m a big cafe latte fan. The cafe latte at the airport is always over $6 in a paper cup, but here I could have it in a nice coffee cup. They also have auto espresso machines for cafe lattes, but it’s not the same, so I didn’t mind waiting in line.

The cafe has a great vibe, and the workers were busy but very attentive. They even have a special machine for a cafe latte that says ā€œThank youā€ (check my pictures).

Even though the new policy has changed, it was still pretty crowded, but we booked through the app before we got there, so we didn’t have to wait in line. Because of the new policy, no more big families rush to the lounge and grab food within 30 minutes anymore. Lol I don’t mind paying $50 as a guest because of the quality of food and drinks, as well as the cozy sitting area. Some lounges don’t provide great customer service, but this one did, so I was pleased. I’d love to come back here for dinner to see what they have for dinner.

The lounge was very spacious with so many tables, chairs,...

Beautiful Centurion Lounge by American Express. ✨ It gets busy so a waitlist sign up is often needed. It has taken about 20 min every time for me. Shower is super nice! And the Blue Roast coffee shop is amazing! 😊
