Worse experience of my life
While i understood last week flooding as an issue but both the emrites staff and airport staff were absolutely disgusting.
Out flight delayed for 7 hours before getting to dubai , after reaching there our flight was suppose to leave in 30 at 830am on thursday , the kept pushing time and we were boarded at 1:30pm , we stood in airplane for 3 hours, then to be told that our pilots will exceed time , they deplaned us and told us to wait in the boarding area for someone to come give us instructions, then all passengers will locked in the boarding area and could not come out , while there were security there and people begging to be release as we were trapped there with no food or water , there were babies and kids down here who had no food , after a few people started yelling at a woman security who lied and said she did not have key to open.. .an arab dressed in all white walked in and was completely rude saying " get out of here " IS THAT HOW YOU SPEAK TO PEOPLE? Everyone banned together and said no we not leaving, and finally of course now the women security magically got the key and opened door, to add insult this is now about 4 to 5 hours of being locked down there .
NOONE from the airport or emrites came to give us any information and they kept pushing time og departsure by 1 hour untill 3am friday morning they canceled flight.
As we sat there , another emrites employee who was passing by was cornered 100 plus people demanding to get any information, said just wait here. We waited another 3 hours until the passengers just yelled out someone help , he was having a heart attack, and yet no medical personnel came.
A passenger started recording , and of course, two bullies claiming to be police officers came to tell us we can not record , like, are they mentally stable? You have a medical emergency and there job is to protect and serve and thats really, both arab men tried to intimidate us but we all stood together, we all demanded to speak to somone , NOONE IN THIS AIRPORT KNOW NOTHING.
The uneducated police then took us to a manager , a manager who was disgusting , and just said, "Get on the lines , while we are being told to wait at our gate. A line that was 9 hours long ( no really 9 hours long)
I got on the line while passengers fainting and sick while NOONE , NO POLICE, NO STAFF, NO EMRITES staff came to see , why exactly was this airport not shut down immediately if they knew what was going on, there were thousands of people sleeping everywhere in terminal ,
Too make things even worse , emrites or airport staff , only gave 15 dollars on a email to go to either mcdonals , or coffee shop where the lines are 4 to 5 hours to order . Even while i left and went to Hard Rock to order my own food , we were being told that there isn't enough food as they have run out of supplies ,
Finally, waiting on a line from 3am to 9 am, not even close, i booked myself on a flight , emrites, and dubai airport FAILED in every aspect of customer service , even just human rights .
The police are garbage and just try to intimidate you .
As you can see from my pic children sleeping on the ground, i would have gotten more if it wasnt for those nasty airport security and none exisitant emrites employees
No thanks to emrites or airport , i got home 3 days later. This airport country is a literal failure and what you see online on news is all fake , they lied and said on news that the airport is running normal , that was lie. My baggages are now lost and i have nothing from my trip .
I will never recommend DUBAI as a place of travel as they treat you with complete disrespect . I will never travel here nor while i be using emrites , they both dropped the ball on every aspect. Also no apologies from employee or police . They are complete nasty garbage and you...
Read moreMy last trip with Emirates has been deeply disappointing, marked by frustrating incidents that raise concerns about the airline's commitment to customer satisfaction and safety. The issues I encountered include a significant problem with their cancellation policy, lack of responsiveness from their customer service team, concerning safety practices, refusal to reimburse for damaged luggage, an extensive delay during the return flight, and a stark contrast in service quality between Economy and Business class.
Regarding the cancellation policy, I received misleading information from three representatives, who assured me (on a monitored and recorded line) that I would receive a full refund if I canceled within 24 hours. However, they failed to mention the crucial condition that this only applied when the flight was at least 7 days after the initial booking. As a result, I tried to cancel within the 24-hour window but could only reschedule. This costed me a $500 loss vs. the option of cancelling and booking a new flight for the following day. Despite Emirates acknowledging in writing their mistake, they repeatedly refused to provide a price match or refund, and eventually even stopped replying to my follow up messages on the open complain.
The lack of responsiveness from Emirates compounded my frustration. Numerous follow-up messages went unanswered, showing a lack of interest in resolving the issues I faced. It is disheartening to be met with silence and indifference after such a disappointing experience.
During the flight, I was alarmed by a safety practice where all blankets were collected and piled in front of the emergency exits to save time (see attached pictures). This compromises passenger safety by potentially impeding access to emergency exits during an evacuation. Safety should never be compromised for convenience and cost cutting.
Emirates also declined to reimburse me for one of two damaged pieces of luggage, despite the damage occurring during their handling. This refusal to take responsibility for passengers' belongings is disappointing and reflects a lack of care.
Furthermore, the return flight experienced a significant delay for a missing document, resulting in passengers being seated on the plane for over two hours, including boarding time. Despite the delay being just a few minutes short of two hours, the lack of updates, assistance, and provisions such as free Wi-Fi or refreshments left passengers feeling inconvenienced and neglected.
The stark contrast between my previous exceptional experiences in Business class and this subpar Economy class trip is disheartening. The service quality and care for Economy class travelers fall short of expectations.
In conclusion, my trip with Emirates in Economy class has been marked by disappointment and frustration. The misleading cancellation policy, unresponsiveness, inadequate handling of luggage, safety concerns, lack of consideration during delays, and disparity between Economy and Business class experiences paint a negative picture of the airline's commitment to customer satisfaction. I strongly advise travelers to carefully consider their choice of Emirates for Economy...

When I first flew Emirate's airline from New York to Dubai, I was completely blown away by virtually everything.
The A380-800 is a gigantic, magnificent aircraft that offers virtually all passengers a spacious cabin which is noticeably quieter than the Boeing 747 and most other jumbo jets in service. Each passenger gets USB ports to charge their phone or tablet and even a 110v inverter under their seats. Some airlines don't offer this in economy because they make use of older aircraft. Ex: I dread the 777 and don't feel much better about the 747 with its older cabin designs and less amenities.
The interior design is beautiful, colorful and welcoming. some airlines like Asiana use the same aircraft but their drab decorative colors make the flight less visually appealing.
The staff consists of easily the most beautiful women on Earth. Hiring discrimination is a cornerstone to Asian airlines and they absolutely turned it up to 11 here. Despite the drab colors of their uniforms, they are all slender, hourglassed and have skin so smooth you'll stare at them like they are Stepford Wives.
The Food is served in a way where it makes even mundane meals seem lavish. They feed you very well and give you snacks and drinks to keep you hydrated.
In-flight entertainment is quite good with new movies, Bollywood films, Middle Eastern films, Dubai travel info and plenty of other content. You won't be bored - that's certain. It truly feels, as an American, like you're embarking on an ADVENTURE to the Middle East.
Most of the time, you'll probably find yourself sleeping. Common sleep hours are peaceful and the engine hum isn't very intruding. A380 is much quieter than the A350 or Dreamliner 787 the corporations want to downsize to.
The cabin is very comforting regardless the class of service you're in.
ECONOMY on the A380-800 is better than many airline's 1st and Business class. The plane itself makes a big difference.
Business Class and First class are more luxurious and pampering than the Youtube videos give justice to. The Stewardesses learn your last name, constantly offer food and drink or wines, give you excellent customer service and prepare you for your shower. Emirates/Etihad popularized the "shower-in-the -airplane" thanks to Youtube videos. Unfortunately, you'll need to spend outrageously to experience Business or 1st class. My Business class flights on PAL or Singapore Airlines A380 cost no more than $3000- $4000 but Emirates is between $4000 and $30,000 depending on the flight time and routes. The A380 just costs more. More money to operate, more money to fly on, etc. But I would say, overall, it's a better experience with Emirates, DXB and Dubai than you'd have gotten if you flew on the Concorde to London or France...
