Yesterday I went to take my road test. I had examiner # 539, this is my 2nd road test and I got more points on my test yesterday then the 1st one I took in January. This guy gave me an automatic fail for failing to observe, inattentive to pedestrian, failure to yield to pedestrian, and insufficient skill or practice. So with the pedestrian, the two people did not go into the intersection they weren't even at the curb yet. I was already at the intersection and was not moving I saw the people, they waited for me I'm waiting for them. No one moved so I moved and continued on. Are we suppose to look at each other and there's people behind me?? Somebody's got to make a move. Then this guy says I didn't have my foot on the brake when I did. First of all it was a "all way stop" I had to stop. This was at the beginning of the test.
Then this guy keeps asking questions and giving me feedback when I'm driving and already nervous. Im the type of person that believes stay in your role. You are the examiner, not the driving school or instructor I pay for. Why are you giving me all extra yapping and expect me to be able focus on the road. From the time I pulled out this guy was on and on. Then after the automatic fail, 539 has me do a left turn, a parallel park, and right turn. When I finished my parallel park, shift gear into park and this guy yapping again, giving me feedback and and asking how I been driving. I told him a year off and on trying to help a family member out. But let me be very clear I started driving September of last year. So its not like I woke up one day and took a road test. Also, why have me do a parallel park or continue to drive and still fail me???? And the pedestrian was an automatic fail. Why are you wasting my time and talking me to death! My instructor, when I came was in shock because he would of told me if I wasn't ready. We practice and I drove to the road site. I will to take the road test and practice because I am 41 years and need to know how to drive for many reasons. My problem with New York is you have examiners passing reckless young people on the road, and Uber drivers who can't speak a lick of English who are also reckless and dont even stop at signs, dont put signals on when chsnging lanes, driving all over New York state with a License.
I feel like women drivers are treated differently. We get graded harder, and we are spoken to in way that I am pretty certain a male driver would of never been spoken to. And I am sick of it. The next road test I will talk out every step to endure my examiner understands and comprehends that I am following proper driving procedures and it's not left to the examiner to try to figure out or assume what I'm doing. Also, examiners are not driving instructors, tell me to do a left. A right, u-turn, and parallel park, and have me go back to the driving site to finish. Lastly, all examiners should have body cameras when conducting a driving evaluation.
I am determined to pass and no man or anyone will make me feel like it's not obtainable. I see these wack jobs on the road with a license. So I...
Read moreI took two road tests here which were both terrible experiences. My first was with a woman who had me wait nearly two hours past my appointment time. Afterwards she denied it and continued to tell me I was lying even though I was at the VERY BEGINNING of the line?? She told me I have no choice and have to go reschedule. And if you live in New York, you know just how long your next appointment can be. After a long argument that led to nowhere, I gave up and was ready leave. Without warning, she suddenly decided to jump into the passenger seat of my car and told me to begin the test like nothing happened. During the test, she continued to take off points for anything she could spot. Such as during my three point turn, she took off points for me being cautious and checking everywhere saying I obstructed traffic. Towards the end of the test she became more and more unprofessional to the extent where she raised her voice. Her continuous muttering and rude behavior led me to make multiple mistakes which would lead to a fail. But I believe the test could have gone much better if she didn't treat me in such an unprofessional way. My second test I was failed for stopping at a stop sign for too long. Don't go here. Even if they appear to be nice, they want...
Read moreI had instructor 592 in 2023. He failed me. The first thing that happened was that I stopped at the stop sign for like 3 seconds, He literally rushed me and asked me why I was stopping for so long? He also was very inpatient with me while I was parallel parking. I learned the 3 step method for parallel parking and when I did it on my previous test I did not get any complaints. However, when I was doing it with him he was clearly frustrated and told me that I need to hurry because if a car was behind me then I should be quick. He also said the exact same thing for the 3 point turn. Like I never been more confused. He told me to turn left right when we were already in the intersection past the light and got mad because I did a hard stop. Then right after turning left he told me to pull over. He literally want's you to rush everything like isn't this a road test? He failed me and gave me 60 points for excessive maneuvers when parking, poor judgement, fail to anticipate potential hazards???? (like he wasn't rushing me), poor turning??, poor maneuvers???, poor judgement when stopping ??? (again because he was rushing me. SMH... I did not get points off for any of these things before. Just go to...
