"Now You Can Try Live Octopus in New York City – A Korean Delicacy!"

I am very disappointed to be writing this review and expect a response and also some sort of disciplinary action taken to what I have been experiencing the past few months from your staff. My last two interactions with a specific night manager has been awful. She is very rude each time my husband and I visit. My last visit she refused to ring our items because she said it was too many items and the next cashier will help us. When I asked her for assistance on finding a specific Dairy item on my WIC for my baby she told me to find it myself that all of the WIC products have a label WIC on it. I explained to her that I have used my UPC SCANNER on the WIC app and each milk was declined by the scanner. She continue to decline to help me. This is the second visit she has done this to me by the way. Once I realized I was getting nowhere with trying to receive customer support I began to ring up my items. The cashier was a young woman and did not wear a name tag. None of the employees had a name tag besides a manager by the name of Mr Miguel, whom also was very unsupportive. The young woman began to ring up the items I explained to her I would like to separate my WIC items from my other items so that I know what I am paying out of pocket for. The young girl had a lot of trouble with this. She called over the manager whom I believe works in sales and covers the registers during the nights which Mr Miguel told me later on. The manager and the young woman struggled for almost an hour trying to figure out why the WIC items were coming out unpaid for. The manager voided items and scanned items back onto my receipt. At this point I don’t know what I was paying for but I had enough of going back and forth and just paid the remaining balance which was not correct when I went over the receipts at home. During the back and forth Mr Miguel stood to the side and watched the other ā€œsales managerā€ struggle. I asked him if he was a manger, he said he was. I asked him does he think the woman needs help with the transaction? And he told me no, she is doing it correctly. Without checking, he stood to the side and never moved or helped. He watched everyone struggle. You may also check the cameras in the store. As a manager at my current job, I will NEVER stand by and watch my staff struggle. Which I later informed him on my way out of the door. I was very vocal about my feelings towards the entire transaction and how rude everyone was towards my husband and I. No one helped me on the sales floor, the manager declined ringing me up, they rang me up several times because they did not ring me up correctly the first time, the manager stood by and watched his staff stuggle, he took no initiative to help me nor his staff members. This customer service experience was by far the worst I have ever had. I never in my entire life felt the need to go out of my way on my free time to try my best to contact HR or any one of power, besides today! My voice will not be unheard and I expect this matter to be handled accordingly. I will be reaching out several times until it does. I will be going back to the store to speak with the store manager and if needed I will locate the regional manager or anyone in HR. I feel very offended by what has happened, may I remind you this is not the first time. I work very hard for my money and have been a loyal customer for years and also spend a lot of money with this company. I hate to feel that I need to find somewhere else to shop now because of your rude staff. They also spoke poorly in Spanish to each other about my husband and I, which also was beyond me. I can’t believe the amount of disrespect from people I am exchanging my hard earned money with. None of the employees wore name tags and when asked their names on my way out they refused to give me their names which is why I have photos of them. I hope a resolution to all of these issues will be resolved and customer service etiquette will be implemented. Thank you Jasmine

Be aware of the Security at the door!!! This individual is rude, r4cist against latino customers and he will even put hands on you, even if you’re elderly! I’m an elderly Latino women that on 01/15/24 around 4pm, went in this location with a shopping bag from a different store, completely different products that what they sell here(have never had an issue with it). I made my way into the store, I was just entering the place when I was approached by the security person in the most rude and despicable way, HE PUT HANDS ON ME… I was shocked and asked him what was the matter??? He never talked to me, he only made signs with his hands implying I cannot go into the supermarket with a bag… he never spoke a word, I kept asking him what was the issue cause I don’t understand sign language, And he just sayed: ā€œLeave your bag by the doorā€ (My shopping bag was the only one there the whole time cause he didn’t stop anyone else but ME, some other people went in with shopping bags and he didn’t stop them) … So Food Bazaar doesn’t trust their regular customers but I’m supposed to trust an individual that literally touched me and couldn’t even explain why, with my belongings??? Does that makes any sense? I asked to speak to a manager but there’s was only a cashier supervisor available, she then said they have been experiencing issues with instacart and delivery drivers and she said: ā€œI’m sorry you feel that wayā€ā€¦ but hey I’m not a delivery… I’m just a regular customer that purchases all groceries here every other day and spent incalculable amounts of money through the years at this same exact location! Some staff and cashiers already know me, because I shop here Every day!!! It’s sad cause I’m right across the street and it’s so convenient but now I won’t feel comfortable, I don’t want to be harassed or worst, having a big size man putting his hands on me without words or clear explanation. SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT FOR ALLOWING SITUATIONS LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN! DO BETTER!!! My daughter called and asked where is this ā€œnew policyā€ written or posted… and they said there’s not such a policy that restricts customers from entering the store with different shopping bags. And even If that’s was the case, you should place lockers then, why would I trust the individual at the door with my...

Today June 3rd, 2025 at around 1 pm, I went shopping here, I bought 2 pineaples along other stuff. The cashier said its $3.99, I said I took feom the box that said Honey Glow $2.99. But she didn't believe me, I went to thw fruit area with the supervisor and show her where I took it from. Its clearly said $2.99. However she and 1 other spvr didn't believe me and said on the phone that I didn't take it from there. How on earth she said that if she didn't see me when I took the pinepple and didn't see in the camera. The pineapple I took is ripe, honey glow. The others that $3.99 are still green. If you are women when you pick fruits you will pick the best one. So I.picked the biggest one, this ia also that made them didn't believe me. Ita not my fault if pinepple does comes in different sizes. Its not a piece of cookie! So it really upset me because I know I didn't lie, and I know I am right, and I also have a right to stand to myself. I said this is stupid, the way she kept to her believe that I took $3.99 pineapple to claim it is the $2.99 one! She seems upset that I said that, So I demanding to talk to her manager directly and would like to have them check in the camera where I took it from. Living In NYC, no one has time to fight over $1. But if I have to stand to my right, to defend myself and proof them who is right and who is wrong, I have time! Finally the manager came, his name ia Mr.Syarif, he took care everything wisely. He make sure the customers happy, calm down and willing to return. Such a great leader. He knows exactly how the business works. To the lady, if I am not wrong, I am sure this is racism, she definitelly wont do this to white customer. But because I am asian, I didn't have make up on probably I look poor to her and I would swap a piece of pineapple to a cheaper one. Come on! It would be great if THE FOOD BAZAAR in Norrhern Blvd, LIC could see their employees performance and check how they threat their customers once a while. However I still loves this spmrk for its quality in everything. I will return every time. But now I see the difference in a business by demographic. Because..to be honest Stop n shop employees have different manners than Food...
