Came to celebrate my birthday. As we sat it took at least 5 minutes for the waitress to come to the table, not to mention that we were 4 and there was only 3 chairs by the table. My husband waited until he couldn’t and had to go after a waitress to get a chair. Food was average in taste, expensive for the size portions. When my husband requested a dessert with a candle, one of the servers just shoved the dessert plate, no candle, and left quickly. No utensils to eat. Then another waitress came in and said they didn’t Bring a candle because they had just found the lighter. No apologies whatsoever. Right after she said that, she proceeded to another table with a dessert and candle and they brought a “sombrero” to the birthday person while the restaurant singer was singing to the table. It was upsetting and felt treated inferior, poorly. When waiting for the check the waitress brings a candle in a cup, a sombrero and a shot of tequila, I guess trying to make up for the mistake, but it was already late. It just felt so awkward. Not to mention that we were charged a bill of over $300, when in reality our bill was close to $150. We just wanted to leave. It ruined our night. El mero...

Found it! My new menudo home! After a long search, finally its over worth the wait. Here's the story....lived in TX 14 years, ate menudo for lunch, then I moved! 10 yrs later, I've found my love again and I'm overjoyed to share my experience. Love the atmosphere. My kind of place. Let's gets to the food. Chickpeas with beef tripe basking in spicy chili broth. 2 words Yum-my, down to the last drop. Smothered with fresh onions, cilantro and lime with warm corn tortillas. The staff is welcoming and shared an interesting history on the menudo soup. This will always be my favorite Mexican dish. Next was deep fried chicken tacos drizzled with cojito and crema, then topped with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, onions. I dipped these in my soup once the corn tortillas were finished. For dessert was freah churros woth chocolate sauce. A perfect ending to a lovely dinner. This is food to enjoy and to share your experiences. El Mero Mero is my new Mexican spot. Thank you for your kindness and attention to detail. This feels like home.

Top of the line. The...

El Mero Mero is the best! They never disappoint. My family and I are from Mexico and this is authentic as it gets. Even my Colombian husband loves this place and my mother in law who is a very picky eater. The costillas en verdolagas, the enchiladas, and rajas are all delicious. The drinks are absolutely delicious too! The tamarind margarita, and hibiscus margarita are the best we have ever tried (and we’ve had margaritas in Mexico).

The staff is also attentive, genuine, and very professional. They always make you feel very welcomed. My family and I moved to NJ but we still travel to Queens just for El Mero Mero because the food and drinks are that good! This place is our favorite Mexican restaurant in all of NY and NJ. We have been coming here for years and will continue to do so. If there’s one restaurant you have to try at least once in your life it’s...

The last one is just 🥹🥹🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 SO SWEET!!!!! Mr D does not dance, but he knows I want to learn Latin dance so he booked this surprise private Bachata lesson for us! He ended up enjoying it just as much as I did!! And, yes, he organized ALL of these locations himself. He said he googled for “most instagrammable spots in Mexico City” 😆♥️ Also, please excuse my Spanish. I tried googling how to pronounce each one before recording this voiceover 😅😅 but probably still butchered it. Save this for your next trip to Mexico City! And, some of our favorite restaurants were: @balcondelzocalo (First & last clip) @yemanyamx @meromamx @pigeonmex The food scene there is SO GOOD 😳😳😳 #mexicocity
