Grand Motor Inn — Attraction in New York

I am writing to express my deep frustration and dissatisfaction with my recent experience involving the complimentary hotel stay provided by Delta Airlines after I volunteered to give up my seat on August 3, 2024. As a long-term Delta patron, I have always appreciated the airline's commitment to service and customer satisfaction. However, my recent experience has significantly tarnished my perception.

Delta provided accommodation at the Grand Motor Inn, located at 72-51 Grand Ave, Maspeth, NY 11378, USA. Unfortunately, this experience was far from satisfactory and raised serious concerns regarding the safety, cleanliness, and professionalism associated with Delta's choice of partner hotels.

Upon arrival at the Grand Motor Inn, I was surprised to witness the office manager or owner loudly argue with patron. I also found it suspicious that there wasn't a set check out time and patrons were paying hourly to exit their rooms at different times in the evening.

The motel is not accommodating for seniors or people with mobility issues as the building did not have an elevator for room on the second floor.

Upon entry into my assigned room, I was immediately struck by the pervasive smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke. The strong stench not only made the environment extremely unpleasant but also triggered respiratory issues, preventing me from getting any rest before my rescheduled flight. Additionally, noise of loud music from other motel patrons further compounded my inability to sleep. Overall, the state of the hotel room was unacceptable, with noticeable carpet stains, curtain stains, no toilet paper, and a general lack of cleanliness that did not align with the standards expected from a reputable establishment with 3.8 stars on Google.

The conditions at the Grand Motor Inn severely impacted my overall well-being and ability to travel comfortably the following day. As a dedicated Delta customer, I urge the airline to reconsider its partnership with this motel to avoid similar experiences for other passengers...

We always stay here with my family for 1 week every time we came here in Queens New York before I didn’t see this kind of activity but recently I was shocked when our room is next to this Jakuzi room where group of teenagers doing that party, that we taught with our family is like a bday party only that’s why very loud noise and loud speaker they have but it’s something fishy that they again the next day until Sunday with the same people. That’s why we conclude that This is a Motel which is not STRICT even at Nighttime the RECEPTIONIST allowed people to come to the room in and out even each room has a limit only that 2-3 people maximum for regular room and 4 people for Jakuzi room but the receptionist even the night time they don’t care people come inside the room even the jakuzi room they make as Party Drug place of Spanish Teenagers boys and girls that they saw already and heard which is disturbing to other who are sleeping still maybe the receptionist don’t care to check because they allowed only because they don’t want to stress they will take action only when the people there are fighting or got rob. And very obvious and they can see people coming to the room but they allowed by the receptionist that when you check inside the jakuzi room there are 10-12 Spanish teenagers partying inside, doing sniff of cocaine and girls smoking there crack as drugs and sex as a group but “TAKE NOTE” when you want to join the party inside you must have $20 dollars cash as ENTRANCE fee which good for 1 hr of partying.
