I would like to state that your campgrounds are beautiful and wonderful, particularly for children of all ages. I must though voice my concerns in a particular area and my heartbreaking disappointment. We have a “family day” event every year and the children as well as the adults have an amazing time. Unfortunately I did have a very negative experience this year. Please understand as I’m writing this I am absolutely in agreement that “safety” is a #1 priority especially when it comes to children. I have 2 children with autism and feel staff need to be trained not only on safety for all children, but also on the “different types” of children and their special needs as well. My concern is when 1 particular individual whom is supposed to be in a role of “safety” is not understanding or willing to understand the challenges my children and I face. I did speak to the lifeguard supervisor on duty and expressed my concerns about what transpired, but feel more training needs to be done in this particular area.
