A Seafood Lover's Paradise and Culinary Adventure! HL Chinese Supermarket isn't just a grocery store; it's an immersive culinary experience that truly deserves a five-star rating! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an incredibly big and inviting space that immediately hints at the treasures within. It's easy to spend hours exploring here, and frankly, I did! The highlight for me was undoubtedly the overwhelming, yet exhilarating, selection of live fish and sea creatures. Tanks brimming with every kind of aquatic life imaginable line the aisles, from enormous crabs to exotic fish I'd never even seen before. It's a testament to their commitment to freshness and variety. If you're a seafood aficionado, prepare to be absolutely mesmerized. Beyond the aquatic wonders, the produce section is a vibrant tapestry of colors and textures, featuring an incredible array of fruits and vegetables, many of which are hard to find elsewhere. And the prepared food sections? Oh my goodness. I honestly got lost in the sheer volume and variety of food options. From roasted meats to dim sum, noodles, and an endless selection of snacks and specialty items, there are so many interesting things to discover. It's a food lover's dream, and I found myself constantly exclaiming, "What's this?!" with genuine delight. Despite the vastness and the delightful "getting lost" feeling, the staff are incredibly nice and helpful. They were readily available to answer questions and offer guidance, making the experience even more enjoyable. I absolutely love this place and can't wait to go back to uncover more culinary gems. HL Chinese Supermarket is a must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic and exciting Asian...

We stopped by here on Saturday to check out the supermarket. The supermarket opened recently but we have never been before. The entrance is in the back and doesn't face Hylan. The supermarket had tons of free parking available. Upon entry, there is a huge fish and seafood section. I saw turtles, eels, shrimp, crab, and squid on offer. They had tons of variety of everything and the aisles were wide enough to accommodate people going up and down the aisles without much maneuvering. The prices were a bit expensive, they did have some promotions available. They had tons of available cashiers and they went quick. The two things that concern me is that: there was a person following us around even my oblivious mother noticed but once we went to the cashier, they stopped following us and another is that an Asian person was stealing and no one seemed to care but we got followed around. I am not sure if this person is part of the staff but he did a terrible job of making it discreet that he was behind us for most of the...

First of all, I shop here monthly. This is first time I need to deal with customer service due to a product issue. I bought 2 bottles of Lactaid Whole milk, both of them taste weird. My 3 kids refused to drink it after first try. My family consume this product for years, the taste is always consistent. Therefore I wanted to return them. I went back the second day for return and refund. 3 store associates tasted the milk and tried to convince me the milk tastes good. One make assumption that my family ate some other weird flavor food and effect our taste buds. They do offer refund only for 1 bottle since they are the judges deciding these two bottle milk tastes ok. I can’t blame them since that the super market policy. But this unreasonable policy is why they lose customers. I would never shop milk here and I advise others to avoid purchasing products which may rise questions because they are not going to issue full refund. 2 stars for company policy and customer service. Overall shopping...

Plenty of parking in REAR! Very poor hygiene, it's immediate as soon as you enter... There were mid sized and larger live turtles (in mesh bags) for sale. They were in a bucket and it just looked so unsanitary. (Not sure if they are legal to sell in NYC- I'll check website for that) [soft shelled certain species ARE allowed] There was a bin of frozen talapia fish in bagged or separated, with NO cover, glass/ plastic or anything to protect the coldness and keep area free of objects falling Into the bin.... Couldn't buy anything aft3r seeing this Noticed affordable bags of beef bones, wanted for broth- they weren't particularly cold, certainly none were frozen- some bags open and juices mixing and spilling into and onto other in purchasable bags. What a disappointment! American items like beer, cereals were all marked up coasting more than at many other supermarkets. without a change to their hygiene and disease control – I would not feel safe purchasing items to be consumed here

During my recent in-person visit on 09/23/25 at 8:40am, the employee who directed me to counter 6 was extremely rude. For instance, when she instructed me to go to counter 1, I explained that I could not do so because of issues I had encountered with that particular cashier on a previous visit. In response, she shouted at me, "WHAT PROBLEM?!" in a manner that attracted the attention of everyone in the store. She later ordered me to "PAY UP" at checkout, which is an improper way to address a customer and a departure from the correct protocol of stating the total amount. When I voiced my concern about her rude behavior, she dismissed my professional concerns as a joke and offered no apology. I chose to cancel the transaction and leave the store. Her aggressive behavior continued over the phone when I requested to speak with a manager. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.
