My family and I kept to ourselves. I loved my apartment and made a very few friends for life -not so much some nosey neighbors. I retired and live the good life down south Atlanta -I sold as is my apartment for an excellent amount. NYC schools are good! We will be going back to nyc for my daughter’s graduation with medical doctor w concentration in Public Health and Family Medicine. I’ll suit up with my Columbia University doctoral regalia while participated in the officiating that graduation! Some kids living there can really have a chance at of getting ahead in life. Others not so much. The community provide that chance with the surrounding schools, parks, lake museum, library and so many recreational opportunities. Just keep to yourselves and keep distance and categories from some folks who are nosey and want to participate...
Read moreHyde Park Gardens is very nice place to live. The grounds are kept well. Management is very responsive. The children really like the new playgrounds as do the parents I'm sure. I was surprised to see a new gated area for hanging clothes to dry. My neighbors are friendly, mindful and kind. Street parking can be tough at times with alternate side parking rules twice a week. It's close to shops and dining and only 10 minutes to Bagel Boss, Carlos & Gabby's BBQ and 7-Eleven on Main Street for last minute items after hours.
