Read moreUp to visit Sabba and Safta for a long weekend, the kids were delighted to skip Religious School that weekend, until I told them they were going to go to the Jewish Children's Museum instead. "Oh Dad, please don't make us, nooooo. please no....." set in with them.
However, once, there, they had a blast! Its Purim time, and there were adults in full costume. The exhibits were hands on and the kids were running from place to place, floor to floor. My oldest even said to me it was the best religious teaching she ever had, versus sitting in a classroom or Shul and listening to "blah, blah, blah". That's right, the one who I had to drag there, was all smiles. We put meaningful prayers on slips of paper into their mock-up of the Kotel. Who knew all this was in Brooklyn?
Naturally, we were hungry after the running around, and enjoyed the kosher cafe on site. While the lunch area itself was more akin to a burger dive than Tavern on the Green, the food was tasty, and again the kids loved the food too.

Read moreThis place is a really good place for kids they do arts and crafts, play, and more. If you step away from the giant picture bored in the front you'll see a huge picture of a kid, it's pretty coool!! And the GIANTTT dreidel!! Don't forget to take a fun picture next to it! :)
This building is in memory of a kid that got shot by a terrorist, Ari Halverstam.
And I hope you enjoy this place I did for over 6 years. 😊😊😊
EDIT: Hii, I made that as a kid. Now I am older and working there, we have many new activities, and I can say for sure we keep the museum well maintained! I personally love the JCM staff, who have all been so very sweet and kind!
Look out for new actives as every month something new pops up! I would recommend it, as it's not only educational but it's really fun! It's also good for all ages as we have a floor great for toddlers and kids, and even things that would interest teens! Aswell as a selection of jewish books you can buy! It's a good family trip too!♡
PS. Throughout the year, they offer a membership card (which I recommend for locals!) As it comes in handy, because who doesn't love the...
