update!! The owner Mendel is a mensch and truly cares about the customer experience of his patrons. He was super receptive to what happened and has handled the situation internally. I can’t wait for my next trip to Sweet Expressions with my family!
————————- I have been a happy customer of Sweet Expressions for years :) When I first moved to CH I would frequent it with friends and then later on as a wife and mother with my own family. So it really made me sad and pause when I recently experienced and saw such a scene in the store.
With a small line forming and one person doing all the work-while 3 people were working, I politely asked in English and then Spanish (when I noticed the two other workers who were leaving their third coworker in the lurch to do all the work were Spanish speaking) to please assist, and I was completely ignored. The one sweet girl who was trying to tend to all the customers looked calm but frustrated as it seems those same coworkers were ignoring her as well!!
My daughter and I finally got our ice cream from this sweet worker, as did all the other patrons, but as I walked away I knew I couldn't stay quiet. I really really hope that this review is looked at and taken into account by management. It really made me feel so bad to see firstly, how this girl is managing all on her own while these two other workers are laughing and ignoring her and the customers (!!) and that I, too, was ignored when I tried to ask for help...in 2 languages!
I would like to of course return as I have for so many years, but until this is resolved I do not feel...

They hadn't ever been to a frum community so they walked down Kingston. They decided to go in for kosher icecream and so they came to this store. It was hot inside, it was filthy, but that's not the real big issue. The customer service was worse than nonexistent, it was rude, mean, and it cheated a couple out of their money. The server didn't listen to the order and overcharged them. He then laughed in their face when they said that they were being charged for items that they didn't order. Read moreService is awful, place used to be great, but under the new management, my experience has drastically changed. I ordered an espresso with almond milk and noticed that the milk wasn't steamed. When I inquired about this, I was told that almond milk becomes too hot when steamed. I explained that I still wanted it steamed, as that’s what I had ordered and paid for. The staff member then took it back to steam the milk, but unfortunately, the taste was still off. Upon further inspection, I realized they had used Kirkland vanilla almond milk. I'm telling them i hadn’t requested vanilla, the guy said that's all we have, at that point, I had enough. I left the espresso on the table and paid the $6.50, but I will not be stepping foot in this...
