Used them to cater a baby naming event. The event started at 9am but they never told us what time they wanted to arrive at the venue to set up. It turns out the two staff arrived at 7am, but since the venue was closed they couldn’t get in, and they were never given our phone numbers by the caterer to contact us! They also couldn’t reach their own boss (the caterer) until 8:15am. At that point the caterer called us, was pretty brash and rude, and then I rushed over to let the staff in to set up. This was a failure of organization on the caterer’s part. The food itself was ok for the most part, but there was way too much of it. There was a 75-person minimum for the event, and we ended up having about 50 people. The food could have fed at least 150 people in our opinion, so it meant a ton of food (and money) went unnecessarily to waste, unfortunately. The fish and egg salad etc. wasn’t so simple to salvage after being out of a fridge at least 5 hours.

Their bagels were great until very recently. Not only have they become smaller and less tasty but it seems as if their staff is not interested in fulfilling the order correctly. They keep getting our orders wrong and today I even got this tiny bagel with a huge hole… disappointing

Their bagels are okay, nothing special, but they just charged me like $7 for 8oz of "whitefish salad," which literally was just onions, celery and mayonnaise, not hint of whitefish. I've lived in the NYC area my whole life: it's a crime to call that whitefish salad.

Holesome bagels has been making bagels for years! Their breakfast specials, especially the hash browns, (which come with most everything in the store except the milk shakes, because that's just weird) are second-to- none! I recently asked the owner what's his recipe for the hash browns...He just looked me dead in the eye and said "if I told you, I'd have to "RiiiiiNG!" His phone rang and off he went.......I've been coming here for te last 20 years trying to get that recipe...One day...One day......but seriously, the breakfast is delicious, and so is the rest of the menu. The staff is quick and has you on your way in no time. The gentleman at the counter, Manny, remembers everyone's preferences, and I mean everyone! I hadn't come by in a few weeks until today when Manny exclaims "Patrón(not my real name), you doing the hungry man special (delicious) today or the egg & potatoes on a bagel(double delicious!)?" He repeated this feat of memorization with every regular who came in after me. Now that's what I call customer service! Come by for a bite and you won't regret it. I'll try to get the recipe for the hash browns tomorrow, and while I'm at it, I'll probably order a cream cheese bagel just to...

I had the unfortunate experience of trying the bagels at this bakery, and it was truly disappointing. The bagels were excessively heavy and greasy, leaving me feeling weighed down for hours. It was as if eating one could send you into hibernation like a bear. To make matters worse, I ended up with a breakout of pimples and some serious digestive discomfort that felt like I was passing bricks.

The service was just as bad, if not worse. It took 20 minutes just to place my order and another 45 minutes to receive a simple bagel. The staff were rude, rushing customers as if they had no time for them, despite their slow service. It felt like they’ve become so accustomed to treating people poorly that they think it’s acceptable.

As the saying goes, and it certainly applies to this place, ״שניה בפה שנה בתחת״ (“a second in the mouth, a year in the rear”). Do yourself a favor and avoid this place...
