Jumbo House — Attraction in New York

Smh. From the very first day Jumbo House opened accross from their competition, I was nice enough to give the woman here a piece of chicken I just ordered from their competition. ( she boldly asked if she can try it, and stupid me was happy to share from what I just bought FREE with her) I would go to Snyder Chinese Popular spot ( still popular) across from Jumbo House( Snyder Chinese food is known all over NY for the best wings * SNYDER WINGS* was there for years since I was 9...in my way over 30s now) that happened over 10 years ago! Today I went in to Jumbo House to order food and she was on a call. She usually would greet me with a smile. Well most of the time, and some days she just doesnt. I dont care about her moods, I just wanted my service. A guy (customer) came in ( that she obviously knew) and insisted she end her call and take our order. It didnt seem like it was a delivery call. She was going to take his order and he told her no take the young lady first. She took mine . Had me wait 34 mins...he left out and came back his order was ready. My otder was smaller. Mine wasnt ready. I LEFT. I will look for another spot. Im so sad that happened. I only like their lo mein. For a long time customer, i didnt really expect special treatment-- just instead not to be KEPT waiting...or she could have told me 15-30...

Firstly- I don't like that prices are going up $0.25 each month/visit. who else noticed that? Some of the reviews here are saying this spot is better than the chinese across the street. YALL CRAZY - unless you mean food options. SNYDER CHICKEN across the street has customers driving from out of state just to get their chicken. That is what they are truly known for, the other food they make is ok. So ill give Jumbo THAT- they have good food when they aren't being CHEAP. The food prep needs to remain the same. They keep switching and tweaking , and its sometimes tasteless.The woman here used to give you your food as you asked. Now she gives an attitude. When I asked for hot sauce, she lies to me and tell me she already added everything to my food after she has quickly packaged everything up and in a hurry to bag them. SNYDER CHICKEN across the street is STILL #1, because atleast they give the customer what they want. or negotiate. Jumbo House...

Please do not be fooled by its appearance. This is your little nook for great chinese food. It was well received by my teachers. They were treated to lunch and it was phenomenal. It was hot and well cooked. Please note there is only one Chinese lady cooking and running this restaurant and she has one Mexican lady assisting. It is crazy to think she got everything ready for a party of 60 people plus handle her regular customers. It could be cleaner but it be those places that have...
