LaGuardia Shopping Center — Attraction in New York

What a miserable place to shop. Firstly, they clearly did not employ an engineer when designing their parking lot. It takes forever to enter/exit during busy times, and some of the parking spots are dangerously close to divider walls.

Secondly, they have several places to eat, but not a single outdoor bench or garbage can! They're so focused on being aggressively inhospitable to unhoused people (heaven forbid someone have a place to rest when all the stores are closed) that they forgot how much these very basic amenities encourage more shopping. It's a shame, because the pizza place here is really good, and I'd love to be able to grab a slice, eat outside with even a standing table, and then continue with my errands. But no such luck. Wait outside of the laundromat when all the inside seats are full? How dare you even suggest such a thing, peasant!

Thirdly, and kind of riff on the last one, there's not enough coverage from the overhang during very sunny or rainy days. Again, it's clearly asking too much to make the time we spent there anything less than miserable.

I'm sure the rent here is through the roof too! If you own one of the businesses here, and you wonder how you can increase your sales, ask your landlord to make the space the least bit pleasant...

The shopping center wall facing 43rd street was vandalized and LaGuardia has don’t nothing to fix the disgusting, hole-ridden wall for years. The locals living on 43rd Street have to view that disgusting wall every day. You think LaGuardia would want to fix it for the neighborhood. No way. Horrible management. Horrible consideration for their neighbors. No doubt a true reflection on LaGuardia Shopping Center. Their building is a dump with no consideration for their neighbors, community and Astoria. A small shopping center that has a bit of everything. There is free parking, but it fills up quickly depending on when you visit.

There is a grocery store that has just about everything you need in one place. Fresh berries and fruits. Lots of pre-made meals. Sushie, chicken wings, chinese food, fish, and more. This store is pretty huge and has a good produce section.

There is a UPS store, a local community bank, postal service, Walgreen's, a dollar plus store, and more.
